Are There Requirements For Instant Downloads For Creators?

Hi!

I just found out that Zazzle is doing Instant Downloads and as a creator I would love to be involved.  I *do* know that only certain products are able to be used for instant downloads.  I did a Canvas Print as a test so I could get used to the process in the near future.  This is a Print so I assume this is okay.

"Flat Holiday Card, Folded Holiday Card, Invitations, Folded Invitations, Flat Greeting Card, Folded Greeting Card, and Prints"

But, I am having issues, despite not being an idiot LOL and reading about 13 articles that all have the same instructions, I simply cannot figure out why my test image is not showing up in the Eligible section.  I am trying to dwindle down what the issue is.

I used a different browser - same issue.
I tried a different print product, same issue (cards instead of canvas)

SO now I am wondering if there are image specific requirements?  Maybe the size or DPI is causing an issue?  I am doing 3072x3072 and 96 DPI.    My images are also in JPEG format.  I, of course, can do a different DPI or image format but I have to know what I am changing it to 🐵

(In case anyone cares):

When I go to my store, My products, I see my image

However, when I I use the criteria and do "Eligible" from "all" I see the "Apply To All Images" blue banner for about 1 second and then it fades away.  I can't click it lol.  I promise I am not dumb hahah.  It has to be something else.  Any ideas?  Ill test anything out!

I'm not sure if canvas prints qualify under "posters & print." I kinda think it's just posters - which begs the question, what does the "and print" part of that mean! Anyhow, you might try transferring it to a poster and see if that makes it eligible.

Hmm okay I'll try that...

That immediately worked lol.  I got down to the bottom of the details and there it was, the option for Instant Downloads.  THANK YOU!

I also MADE sure I enabled it to be downloaded and it shows a green "downloadable" tag on the actual thumbnail.

It still is not showing up IN "Eligible" tho lol.  Maybe that takes 24 hours or something.

"Eligible" refers to designs that are eligible to be enabled but haven't been. The ones that you've enabled show up under "Enabled" but not "Eligible" - if that makes sense!

That confused me, but I got the gist of it and you're right, once I enabled it it IS under Enabled now lmao.

Thank you for your help, I appreciate it!  Now if support could just get rid of my old store from 10 years ago I will be set!  (it won't delete, they can't delete it, it won't go away it's just there forever).

This is the reply I got 7 days ago.  Kind of weird.

"I have sent your email to our community team. As soon as they get back to me I will make sure to update you on this matter.?

Strange. I've only ever had one store, so I've never tried to delete one. I suppose you could post a new topic and see if anybody else knows how to delete a store.

Yea I'm in a thread on here as we speak haha.  I found it earlier, it's all the people who also can't delete their stores despite not having anything in it.

I asked the same question awhile back and @Scott said that prints are the same thing as posters. Canvas prints are not included for digital downloads

I wonder what other downloadable products are also referred to as "prints," and if any of them are also downloadable. If they aren't, maybe Zazzle ought to delete "prints" from the description.

I agree, prints should be deleted, because at this time, there are no other products downloadable.

@Cabana777

@Cat is correct - canvas prints are not eligible. The only products that allow downloads are Holiday Cards, Invitations, Greeting cards and poster & prints.

To Transfer your canvas print to a poster

1. In your store management area, click the actions dropdown  of the canvas print and select 'transfer this design'

2. You can either type poster in the search box or scroll down to the Art & Wall Decor - Posters & Prints section.

3. Select the poster you want to transfer too (either landscape or portrait depending on your artwork)

4 Choose your size and then post for sale.

5. It should autofill the title, description and tags from your canvas print and you can tweak them if needed

6. Set your royalties and at the bottom there should be the option to set your digital download royalty

7. Post for sale

That should work

oh and have you enabled Design Transfer in your store settings? (store - advanced settings - scroll down to Design Transfer and click to checkbox - scroll again submit to save)

Though I'm not sure whether that affects digital downloads

And lastly - it takes patience for your products to appear in the marketplace. It may have to index before you can transfer. To check whether it's appeared - go to your store front (via view public storefront) and sort by newest to see if it's been indexed.

Have you figured out what the "& prints" part of "poster & prints" means?

I thought the pixels per inch for printing were supposed to be at least 300ppi. 96ppi is fine for online viewing of images.
