Digital download royalty in "Your Recent Sales" email is $0

Today looking at my email for sails I found a digital download that was purchased from someone in France had a royalty of $0. This customer had also purchased 11 physical copies with a royalty mentioned. It's apparent the customer chose the "Prints & Digital Download" option when going through with the ordering.digital download 0 royalty.png

In my Earnings report all looks good. So the question is, why in the email it shows a different royalty?

the fact that your royalty has been reduced down from 10% to 9.8% is proof that secondary content was used. We always get email $0.00 notifications with secondary content for some reason

@LMGildersleeve That looks to me like they added extra content (ie - a background)

Though interestingly - https://help.zazzle.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039941013-Secondary-Content-FAQ

'Creators don’t earn a royalty when their Digital Content is downloaded – but they do earn royalties when their Digital Content is added to physical products and purchased.'

So maybe the creator of the secondary content - received notification that their elements were used but didn't receive a royalty (as it was a digital download?) but the system is set up to notify both of you

I had a similar issue last month with 1 cent royalties.
fortunately, @Malissa solved the mystery for me.

Solved: Incorrect # of orders and royalty amounts on Recen... - Zazzle

@WHS_DesignsHmm I'm reading their explanation in the link you've given me. I'm not convinced it's the same thing.

The top sale usually would have been 10% royalty are the 11 hard copies. While the digital content would have been 92.9% default. The digital sale had the customary "c" and "t" explanations attached to it.

So I can't really tell why it has a $0 royalty on the email.

Thanks so much Sara. I've never seen it before. At least now I know what to expect. 💐
