All items showing up under featured products rather than their category

I have been noticing that most of my products say they are under "feature products" vs the categories ive created for them and when i do a search for them nothing comes up..is there a way to fix this without having to go to each product and editing their category i have over 40K products it would take a very long time..Does anyone else have this problem?

Settings>advanced settings>featured products…..if featured products is under the visible column move featured products to the hidden column…that’s one possible solution.

sorry i tried to reply and accidentally hit accept solution, this is incorrect, it not accepted i still have the problem, this isnt a settings issue,  when i click on a product to create another one that (most of them) show as under feature product and not the category they should be in...idk maybe im not explaining this right
