Has anyone experienced this problem? i can’t seem to move products into one of my Categories. See it’s listed on the menu on the left, but the choices on the pop up window don’t have it. (Wrapping Paper for example)
Is there any workaround?
Thanks, Rick

@welshdesigns - that's due to the category not being indexed yet as it one that you have created.
It does take time for new categories that you create to appear.

I get that, I really do. BUT I have worked at a couple really big software companies in Seattle, and there is no way they would let that kind of experience be the norm on their customer facing website pages. All backend server updates should populate overnight at the longest, and in many cases within the hour. This as been several days now, and still not populated. I bet there at many store owners having many issues like this, that if they just upped their backend server updates, the user experience would be so much better. It’s a very frustrating experience to have “unexpected results” like this when working on your store/product/collection etc. Patients I”m fine with, but trying to troubleshoot unexpected results is a different thing. And time wasted on our end.

Hi @welshdesigns,
I'm sorry to hear of the experience you had in this case and thank you for your feedback. I'll pass it along to our team to take a look at. It looks like your categories are populating now however. Are you still experiencing the issue?
Thank you for your patience!
Pádraig.

Ok, figured it out. One one hand I’m an idiot, and yet this is also very poor UI design from a users perspective. The list actually will scroll on towards the bottom, but there is no indication the list isn’t complete on the pop up window. IE no scroll bar along the side. BUT once I accidentally scrolled it, (because I realized collections scroll as well) I just tried it here with my categories too. Low and behold it scrolls even though there is no indicator before hand. Then after you scroll the indicator pops up. So, solved I guess, but really this is a UI bug that should be fixed.
BTW I tried to upload a picture, and it says I don’t have permission to upload an image now. Where clearly I did from the orginal thread. Weird.

There, got the image uploaded, notice the scroll bar AFTER I scrolled, but not before.
