Collection Product Photo Not showing "Sorry Product Image Not Available"

In one of my collections many of the product photos don't show up and instead reads "Sorry Prouct Image Not available"  For example in this collection https://www.zazzle.com/collections/custom_pickleball_paddles_by_pickleballgals-119084480367110285

This has happened to me a few times... Did you recently change your cover photo image for those products? You may need to reset it; edit the products and select your cover photo again.

Thanks for the response Laura.  I hadn't changed the cover photos.  I checked a few of my other collections and don't have the same problem.  Hopefully a moderator will step in and check my collection. I might try and email support too.  Thanks though for trying to help.

I find that I usually have to repeat this process of changing the image in the edit details. I think this might explain why this "image not available" is all over the site. The worst case that I experienced is having to repeat it 6 times. It just would not stick. Patience required ...

Thanks Anne.  I think it's the custom cover photos that the collection doesn't "like" I'm going thru the collection now and switching the custom cover photos over to regular product photos - it's a huge collection with lots of custom cover photos. Bummer!  The custom cover photos were fine for many months and now just stopped working.

I would just be patient. Let it sit for a day or so. You put already so much effort in creating these custom cover photos. They will at some point be visible. Reloading the page or clearing cache might also help. 🙏

Also: if you create a new product, add it to the collection from the backend of the store and not from the product page. For older products you may have to remove them from the collection and then add them back again from the backend of the store (this is a workaround that someone mentioned somewhere and is still not fixed)

I ended up going into the collection and clicked the products that had "sorry product image not available" and then clicked edit, then merchandising and then selected another product shot. After waiting a few seconds, I reselected the my cover photo.  I had about 50 products to go thru.  The collection looks normal now. But . . . there is definitely something going on with collections not liking the cover photos. Hoping it doesn't happen again.

We have all been patient for this to be fixed when it was last reported in November 2022. I hope they fix this sooner rather than later. I see this daily so it is an issue for sure. 

I agree Sunnee007!  It seems like Zazzle is REALLY encouraging everyone to add cover photos. I'm very hesitant to spend the time if the cover photos don't even work.  I don't want to upload them to find a month later that none of them stick.  Would love to hear a response from a moderator. 

The only thing I think works is waiting for it to actually show up 24hrs later. In a perfect world, you upload it and it just "works". I tend to refresh over and over again. That's the only thing I can see in how to make it work until they actually fix this.

...you mean...wait 24 hours for it to show up in the back end, or the MP?  Surely we don't want "product not available" for thousands and thousands of pics in the MP for 24 hours?!  Do we know if Z is aware and working on it?

Not sure. I just shared what I have seen thus far. Whether someone is working on it or not - I am not sure. I sure hope so.

@Colorfulgalshop - Are you still experiencing problems with this? Now when I upload a cover photo, it states it was successful, but the "Upload Cover" wording doesn't change and I am left with an empty slot with no cover image. Quite frustrating. Hoping Zazzle just fixes the problem and does not overstate the obvious elephant "still" in the room.

@Sunnnee007  - I'm still having issues with cover photos as are most people.  But My original problem (reason I started this thread) is resolved because I went into the collection and deleted the cover photo and then uploaded it again on every item that said "sorry Product Image not available" That seemed to correct the issue - for the time being. Very frustrating though as everything had been working and then the cover photos just disappeared. Cover images are a mess right now 😫 

Ok, I think I am making some headway. Once lady emailed back and asked that I send her photos of the cover photos I am missing from my collection. The moment I hear back I will update this thread. 

On an item, where you can upload the image - I don't have an option to "Remove" the cover photo at all. It still says, "Upload Cover Photo". Sigh.

@Colorfulgalshop Very sorry for the delayed response here. I don't see this issue affecting any products in your shop at this time. Is this correct? Did this happen after adding Cover Photo images to those products?

Happy Valentine´s!;) I have exactly the same problem with the products cover photos added yesterday. But the 24 hours have passed and they are still not visible, Moreover, when I go to a product page, it says: Upload the cover photo´ and so there is no way to delete it either as it seems it doesn´t exist. It happened to me for the first time but it affects the whole shop tremendously. In a bad way.  I hope you will find a solution soon. 

Hi Scott - I fixed this particular collection on my own a few weeks ago so it will look normal to you. I went in and deleted every cover photo and uploaded again. So now it looks fine.  But now I'm having issues like everyone else when adding a cover photo - just doesn't work.  Here are a few examples -

I am still left hanging on products I added cover photos too still not showing up! Been a lot more than 24 hours sadly been days....
