Trouble Uploading Cover Photos

I've been having some trouble uploading covers this evening. I click on the upload link, and the process seems to work normally, but when I'm done no cover appears and the link doesn't change to say remove cover, it just acts like I never uploaded one. I'm guessing maybe the system is overloaded or performing maintenance or something? Anyhow, I'm calling it quits for the night and hopefully it will have corrected itself by morning. Just wanted to report it in case something else was going on.

We're still working out a few details here, but this issue (trouble uploading cover photos) should be fixed. I'll be locking this discussion so that it doesn't become a general "...and this other thing is also wrong" which can be extremely difficult for the team to follow. If you're still seeing some issues then please check the Tech forum to see if someone has mentioned the issue, and if not then feel free to start a new discussion.

I would also like to remind everyone that it's important that we stay on topic. There were some posts here that seem to veer in another direction that isn't related to this topic at all. In the future if you find a topic that you'd like to expand up on then it might be best to do that in another discussion. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I see a big blank white spot where the cover image should be.

A couple of thoughts: -- does the cover photo show under Images?

Maybe try hitting Refresh or [Ctrl] and {F5] / force refresh to see if anything changes?

I have cleared the cache and restarted, still not showing the images on the collection nor in the main product screen, sometimes however I can see it when clicking to see the close up photo option. Weird it has to be there end hopefully it will get fixed soon. No point at the moment creating these if you can't see them! 😐 In the meantime I have decided to go back and edited the details to display the original default zazzle view.  

Follow up to this. Some products are now showing ok but some still the same pixelated sorry product image not available. Is it a time delay thing? One was done 3 days ago and still the same 🤔 I have a stack I would like to drop in now, but until this is fixed it will harm sales not help.

Having the same issue this bright and early saturday morning. Tried refreshing and cleared cookies and web cache logged back in and still no cover photo.... just blank square. I can't even find how to remove the mockup 😞 so I used the replace product feature hoping it will restore the product without the blank mockup.

I too am having that issue this morning.  I click upload cover, get the success notice but then it doesn't show and still says upload cover photo.

I am having multi issues, with cover photos  I have just uploaded, they aren't showing at all, instead get a pixelated sorry product image is not available as see below. Plus some of my older ones that were ok now, not showing up in the collections at the bottom of the page this is the screen shot below 😬 I was only doing them because of the latest message saying our products will be pushed up if they have cover photos. I'm also just getting the blank square image placeholder. Either way it's an ugly way to be seen in the marketplace, I'm sure they'll get this fixed soon. Bummer though although late to the game here I was psyched to get my mockups I created this morning up and running.

All I see is a blank white spot too and it still says upload cover photo again, so I'm gonna stop for awhile and keep the original photo in place, so it doesn't show up as a blank spot for a customer to see.

Bummerooskis!!! I was so hoping this would be resolved today. Well, it seems that the problem started last night some time. The stuff I uploaded earlier in the evening took just fine, but everything I uploaded after 9:30pm (Mountain time) is not working. I guess I'll just work on creating the covers for now and wait until this gets resolved to upload them.

The Cover Photo feature has been glitchy for me ever since Zazzle implemented it.  Most times, with multiple attempts [and a lot of coaxing] it eventually works.  But today, it's acting just as you described!  😒

Yeah - it's been glitchy all along, but it seems the glitch has now turned into something completely non-functional. I'm sorta betting that they made some changes last night and inadvertently broke it. But at this point I think we'll probably have to wait at least until Monday for any improvement. Sigh.

Last week it was the "last viewed date" not updating (at least for me), this week it's the cover photos not functioning, next week...

Never a dull moment in Z-land!

I ran into this last night too and gave up on cover images for the night. Guess I'll wait a while before trying again.

I am also having the same issue, yet I've still been working at it...hopefully I'm not wasting my time. 
Also, I am noticing some inconsistencies with cover photos. Sometimes the product shows up with no cover photo on the back end but I can see it in the marketplace? Sometimes the cover photo never appears even if I select it as that photo in the edit button. I hope these kinks get worked out.

What's even worse is that you cannot revert to a Z-provided In-Situ! The product view is stuck with the blank white square. Bummer 🙄.

I am still having the issue this morning. (Sunday 2/12). I did send a message yesterday regarding our issue and got this reply...


"Sorry to hear you are having this issue, we appreciate the feedback and we will have this looked into."

Unfortunately, that looks like a standard reply and no one at Zazzle will be checking the problem until at least Monday.

I tried uploading two cover photos yesterday (my first! :D), and I'm getting the "sorry, image not available" message where the photo should be. Hoping it resolves in a day or two.

Same for me. And no way to delete the faulty cover photo.

I am having all of the problems listed above. I would like to know if we have to redo them. This wouldn't be a problem, if I wasn't worried about losing sales because I might lose my standing in the market place without them.

I am also having the same problem with "product image not available". I uploaded over 30 cover photos yesterday. The really strange thing is that it doesn't say "remover cover photo", it says "upload cover photo". So right now I am stuck with "product image unavailable". I hope Zazzle fixes soon because it is quite embarrassing.

Update - I received an email back from Zazzle today and here is what they said,

Similar to the indexing time of newly uploaded products, replacing cover images can take between 24-48 hours to update, however, we have forwarded this issue to our web team to be monitored and, if the cover images do not update within this time frame, please do let us know and we will be able to investigate further.

That's true, however, we were never stuck with a "product image unavailable."  It would always continue to show the old image until it was indexed.  Additionally, we had the option to "remove cover photo" which we currently do not have.  

Definitely an issue here, and a shame it happened over a weekend.  Hopefully will be troubleshooted Monday morning.  Thank you for at least reaching out to Zazzle and updating with their response!

I uploaded a cover photo and get a blank white spot.  Does it take a while for the image to get approved?  It’s not working.

I have never had any past issues until yesterday. The cover photos have always been instantaneous. No waiting. I wonder if its because everyone is uploading cover photos now and their system can't handle the load.

No it doesn't have to be approved, it's probably some problem on Zazzle's end. No one at Zazzle will be checking on the problem until at least Monday, when they come to work.

Recently The cover photos aren't showing up when i upload them, and the remove cover photo isn't showing either I think there maybe a glitch in the cover photos, after they said they prioritized products with cover photos,

I spent most of Friday night & Saturday working up and loading cover photo's for about 2 1/2 dozen of my best selling products....some of them just reverted to the old view and some are REALLY missing in action since they just show a white space. Dumb me. Should've taken the weekend off.

😂this was me too. I finally got some time and motivation to work on this cover images. So it was super frustrating it is bust, I done a few than bam, ruined the products I done now! May have to take the week off at this rate 🤣

I am also having this issue, came here to see if I am doing something wrong, but I am guessing it is a technical issue seeing so many have it. At first i thought I uploaded to many and maybe it was a bit spammy. Today is the second day for me they look empty and I am not sure if I should wait until it is fixed or remove them for now. 😞

It is still not working Monday morning. I still see the blank white spots and there is no way to fix it. I still can not go back to one of the other images.  I have a tiny little window that says sorry product image not available and on the product page, it still says upload cover photo.

Yesterday, I thought I was being clever by editing all the products I'd done cover photos for on Saturday, going back to Zazzle's views. So far today, there's no change. Thank goodness I wasn't overly productive on Saturday. No more cover photos for me until things consistently work.

All the ones I have updated cover photos for since Friday are sitting there showing a blank with "sorry product image not available".

Seem like a big glitch. I began Friday uploading cover photos. The first ten or so took. After that, the image is blank under my product, and the message "sorry product image not available".

It won't allow me to delete the image that shows as blank either.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I will add that when I upload the cover photo from my files, I get an error message saying that it is the wrong size (it's not, though). It does allow me to continue, and then I get the "Success!" message. But then I get that white box with "Sorry, product image not available." Maybe that error message has something to do with all this.

I drag and drop my cover photos from my Mac desktop and do not get that error message, but still having the same issues as everyone else.  Hopefully they're working on a fix this Monday morning!  🤞

Yes I was getting the wrong size message too until I started uploading PNG files instead of JPG but I don't think it has anything to do with the problem now because uploading covers was still working at the time.
