Got a notification of a sale of one of my products from one of the Zazzle European domains this evening (38 minutes ago as of the writing of this this email) that doesn't appear in my Royalty History report.

I had the same issue twice last week and I was concerned about missing sales. The first time it happened I assumed the sale was cancelled right after it was made and that was why it never appeared on my royalty report. Then it happened a second time and I was concerned. I looked through my sales and noticed that I'd earlier sold the exact same items that were missing from my royalty report. So, I came to the conclusion that the bell notification was just way behind, about 12-20 hours behind if I remember correctly. I've since noticed that the notifications are still a bit off on time. For example, it will notify me that there was a sale 38 minutes ago when it was actually 3 hours ago. The notifications are nice for likes, adds to collections, etc. but I'm not relying on it for sales. To me it seems more timely and less confusing to check sales the regular way.

Understood, I do get delays like the one you mentioned, but this bell notification came 4 days after I sold this product. At 96 hours, we're wayyy, wayyy, wayyyy past the issue of timely notifications. Like you, the Royalty History is the usual way I check my sales. IMHO, the bell notifications are much more useful (and timely) for likes, collections, and store followers.

Wow! Four days late is beyond slow, that's crazy. Hopefully the lateness is because Zazzle has so many sales the notification system can't respond as quickly as hoped. I'm glad to hear though, that your sale was there, it's quite unsettling when sales are "missing". As we said, the notifications are nice for the other things. Prior to the notification bell I never even thought about likes or people adding things to collections, etc. It's nice to know that things are happening out there in Zazzle world!

You can say that again. 🙂
I think the wonkiness in the bell notification system is part of the other technical hiccups we're currently seeing -- the heavily pixelated home banners, missing HTML coding for sharing of product views, font migration issues, etc.
I always had to search to see how many likes my products got (followers were a bit easier since the count updated in the Followers tab). Of course, I never knew people were adding my products to their collections (that was an entirely new notification).

I know this is an old thread, but I received 2 exactly the same notification about my product sold and only one of them in sales history. Also I noticed some double sales - same customer, same product, same amount - I think customers have difficulties when purchasing on Zazzle and they are not even aware that they have bought the same product twice - they will know when they receive it and there is no way for us to notify them.
