Hi. I've recently come across a problem with using the elements tool. When using a square shape, I am unable to change it to a rectangular shape. It just becomes a larger square. This makes it impossible to design invitations with borders and such. This is an example of the issue I've been having. The square just becomes larger, no matter how I try to adjust it. This has never happened before, and I've been designing on Zazzle for years. Hopefully this is due to a simple oversite on my part. If anyone knows the reason for this, please let me know. Thanks.

This has been recently changed. Now you have to hold done the shift button while resizing. Often you'll find the question has already been asked and answered if you do a search of the forums before driving yourself crazy trying to figure it out .. lol.

I prefer to do my Zazzle work on my iPad. As far as I can see it is not possible to hold down the shift button, as this only appears when entering text. Zazzle needs to take a look at this and resolve it.

Same for us longtime Samsung tablet and Android users! I actually prefer to use only my Samsung phones I've had over the years for majority of my artwork, and my current smartphone I've been using for awhile is like a mini tablet. With the latest update, can no longer work like before on either device, as I use the S-Pen stylus pen! Never had a problem before this latest update.
There's talk of it also in General Discussion. Hoping a mod can help with this, and bring back the old way before this last update!

I tried it out on my ipad (Safari browser), and if you go to Settings and UN-check "Lock Aspect Ratio," you can free-form the square into a rectangle, and free-form crop as well.

I always use a laptop, and it is working fine for me. Are you using the touch pad? I use an external mouse.

Are there two different versions? For me, free-form is the default, and I only need to hold shift to KEEP the aspect ratio. Is it the opposite for some people?
Edit: Never mind, I was talking about the crop tool. I haven't used the rectangle element tool in a while, so I was unaware that you need to hold down shift to free-form that.
