Many products in the backend store are no longer in the categories!

I thought earlier that they were completely gone.
But when I search among all products they appear.
I have now noticed this with puzzles, ring binders,
many designs for all bathroom products, blankets and much more.
What has happened there? Will Zazzle bring everything back into the correct categories?

I just noticed that too. I hope they will fix it soon. 🤞

Do you mean they disappeared from categories you made or from the filter categories Zazzle has ?

From categories I made.

I wanted to click reply and suddenly there was accept as a solution. The problem is not solved.
How can I change that? Help please. - I figured it out 🙂

I have do that too! I think you just unclick it (if I remember correctly.)

My categories -- some show "no products ...  and some show 1/2 the products but not the same type...  example... I have the hershey miniatures...  in say "miniature favors" category -the product for actual bars are not showing up but my OLD listing that are labels only (before the actual bars) are showing up.  This is all in categories I made on backend -- the Zazzle  Categories... they are showing up.

It's happening to the products in my store categories too. It must be a glitch that I imagine will be rectified soon.

I hope so 🙂

I have the same issue. I have products showing in the backend, but the products don't show up under the categories, in the backend.

WDArt

Same here; nothing is showing under any of the categories.

Having the same issue here.

Having the same issue. Thanks for any help with it!

Yep, I'm missing tons of products in the back end categories too!

Hi @Connie . It is rather frustrating, isn't it. Has there been a time in the last few years when Zazzle has actually been running without glitches? I don't recall it......

I don't recall it either!

Same for me - a top level category (HOLIDAYS & FAMILY - which has multiple subcategories) is showing in store management mode as having no products when it should be hundreds. I note though the products do appear correctly in public mode.

<edit> actually, looks like lots of other products are missing throughout my shop, which makes working on it a bit difficult. Hope this gets resolved soon.

My shops too. NOTHING shows in any categories in the back end. "All products" shows everything (or seems like, not gonna scroll through every page). Public storefront is ok too. Can't work on my stores!

Also missing products in backend categories 😞

Same.

Ditto! I inadvertently discovered this today in my backend because yesterday I broke up a huge collection into 7 collections (same design, different colors). So I went to the category & only 2 products were showing up out of close to 200! Then I checked other categories & see that pages & pages of the most recently created products are also gone. So then I went through around the 1st 150 pages of my products in the backend, from "newest to oldest" & all the products are there in the order I created them. So in my backend, it seems as though any categories that I myself created are screwed up with missing products. Some categories are empty, others are missing a ton of products. When I view from "public" it mostly seems ok, although I see stickers are missing from the one graduation category where I split up the collection into 7. My collections seem fine, even the new ones I created or broke into smaller, more targeted ones in the past 2 or 3 days, when viewing in both my backend and "public"/not signed in.

I'm glad to know this seems like a major glitch for not only me! Wondering if this is related to the indexing/collection mess? At any rate, I sure hope this is fixed very soon!

One more note: on further inspection when viewing any of the categories I created in my backend under "newest to oldest", no product created after around 9/21/21 is showing up. And in my subcategories, same thing, if any products are showing at all. Many subcategories have "none".

Hi @Marcia . It's almost as though Zazzle's IT department is hell bent on creating issues. In the last few years has it been running smoothly at any point?

Martin as you know I've been here for a long time. Z has always had their issues but they do fix them (99%). People who bemoan these things are wasting their time. Of course Z wants to fix issues. They are not responding here because they are working.
The issue with new products showing is a known issue. It was responded on another thread by Scott.
People need to know that those "missing" products in their back end are still found in their promotional efforts and in the MP. That's where it really counts.

Are you sure the software knows we had sales if the products aren't in our backends? A short answer from Zazzle would be good.

Now that my products are returning I can say yes. Several of my sold products during the great vanishing are recording their sales. @GabiwArt

I thought Scott said the issue was fixed? My new products came back, anyway. But now I'm missing tons of older products throughout my store, that are not at all QC related.

I'm not sure if products are found in promotions. When I clicked on website and Pinterest links a lot of them get a 404 message. The links that link to categories rather than individual products, do show the categories in store, but when clicked on, no products show.

@Martin lol   It's been bad at times in the past but seems especially wonky now. I still feel the entire collection thing has really messed up everything, technically. I can deal with views not updated & products taking forever to show a whole lot better than products disappearing in all my public & backend categories. Or anything that has to do with my sales stats. Those 2 issues really trigger me! Any rate, sincerely hope they will fix this soon & the fix will stick.

all of our products in the back end aren't showing up either, maybe a few hundred out of  27,000 are.

Can we get an official response on this problem?

The forums aren't monitored over the weekend. Hopefully we will hear something today.

I made a sale today and wanted to be sure the item with text was on different colors. I checked where it was located after not locating it and now found the entire category is empty. There is no way I can search for the item unless page by page. I feel like all I am doing is trying to navigate on the site lately. I hate complaining but that is all I am doing lately. Something needs to be done. I am thinking that all the new options like 'group products' and fancy ways to complete collections is causing problems with the base shop backend. Seems like instead of working through from the bottom up they just started adding new options before doing beta testing to see if the entire site implodes.

Leatherwood Design

I had that problem yesterday none of my kid's clothing showed up, and I knew I had hundreds of products.  Most of my categories open to an error code 404.  thank goodness Collections still have products.

Ok, the problem with empty categories is still there but the item I started looking for leading me to find this error was a Party Hat. I just discovered that Party Hats are not showing up in the Categories in the backend. Well at least they are obviously showing up to the customers.  Good luck tech guys.

Leatherwood Design

All my party hats are not showing anywhere in the back end. It's as though I never made any. However they do show up in the collections they were put into as well as showing in the MP. It looks like whole sections of the back end have been made invisible.

Thanks so much for reporting this! I just noticed it happened in my store and was worried it was just me. Half my Easter stuff has disappeared, and only re-appears again if I search for it from the search box. For instance, if I search for 'Easter' on the main page of my shop I get over 50 products which were all originally in my Holidays>Easter category. However, if you go into my Easter>Holidays category there are only 20 something products there. Many are MIA, including a best seller (for me) Easter egg hunt invite. They DO show up in a general Google search though (thank goodness).

All of my Categories are showing up empty in the backend on multiple stores. When I use the search bar in my stores I am able to locate the products and when I click to add to a category it shows that it is already in the appropriate category.  Things are getting really weird lately on Z.

Some of my categories show no products in them at all. I was worried that the products had just disappeared for good, but I decided to check the forums first. I see a bunch of us are having the same problem. Hopefully this is just a technical glitch. I was hoping to work on some designs, but that's not really going to work out right now, so I guess I'll just wait! 🙂
