My new created products are not grouped in similar themes anymore

Hello Friends,

The automatic grouping action of products created on same theme/design but different colors, was so helpful.

But recently, this is not happening anymore.

Is this a technical issue ? Or its happening with me only ? How can I fix it ?

Please help,

Thank you 🙂

Hello all... Seems the last post to this thread was months ago and the problem is still persisting for me - so I'm hoping to bump this and see if I can get any answers as to when this will be addressed?  I am still submitting multiple requests for products to be grouped... with no results.  These are products that have lots of views for specific color combinations and if only the customers could see all the options available to them, the purchase potential might just increase...  but instead, the other colors are just lost in the abyss. I would love to post the products here but it's just way too many.

If a moderator could possibly address this or provide any information whatsoever, it would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Angela

It's never worked for me when I request it. It works when it wants to. Sometimes not at all. Sometimes it grabs some of the similar colors, but leaves many out (I run into this issue a lot when I have dolls in my designs with different skin tones. Often the darker skin tones are left out of grouping with lighter ones, or hair colors etc. Frustrating because if someone likes a design, but the doll doesn't look like them, they may not realize there are other options that do, especially because the "collection" is shown way below the design and "other items you might like" are shown first. smh)

I haven't gotten any responses about this when I have asked, and like you, it's just way too many items to list. I would love a universal response than just for individual items to be addressed privately, since this affects us all. It's great when it works... how it is supposed to lol. But it's as iffy as indexing. It's NEVER worked properly for me since inception and anytime I do manual requests I have never seen a resolution, ever.

I kinda just let it go and let it be what it is... because idk what else to do about it.

I agree... it's great when it works.  I really do believe it's increased sales on products that have been successfully grouped.  It's a feature that could benefit everyone greatly if it was addressed and it's frustrating that we're spending so much time trying to optimize things for better sales and falling flat because things continue to not work properly.  As much as I don't want to, I think you're right to just let it go because it's clearly out of our control.

My hope is that it is part of the backend glitchy stuff that they are working through and eventually they can get it to work as planned. I prefer more than anything else that the indexing be the priority fix! So I'm okay with sorta posting and making sure I am optimizing what I post for best practices and crossing my fingers for grouping to take hold properly for now LOL. But eventually, yes, I would love this great feature to have more attention and communication from Z to us inn how it's working and if its fixed etc. and then getting in there and fixing whatever got left out, and or the AI working to autocorrect it.  I hope to see that as the bugs get found and squished! Let's cross our fingers and toes. lol. Good luck in the meantime!

Chiming in and bumping this topic again, in the hopes that this issue is still being worked on. I have SO MANY new products in my store that need to be grouped. I've been requesting them manually for the past few months and none of them have grouped. I'd love to hear back about whether or not this is still getting any attention. Thank you!

I, too, still haven't had any success on getting my products grouped.  I've made multiple requests on some groups.  I just stopped trying.  I definitely have more new products that should be grouped... but didn't even bother making the request this time around.  My hope is that eventually it will start working again and, at that time, I'll put the work in to make grouping requests.  Hopefully we can at least get an update on the situation in the near future.

Yup. I have several sets over the past couple of months that have not been grouped. Some sets have been requested several times. More recent sets I put in the request when I finish the set, but then I just leave it alone. It's not worth my energy.

I've been having good luck lately with grouping, quickly, even during this Holiday season. It might help to make a small edit to the product at the same time?

My products have not been grouped since August of this year. I think I've read somewhere that this still is an issue. I believe Scott is aware. I'm going to wait until I get the official word before I submit any requests. It's been such a waste of time I can't stand to do it again unless it works.
My personal work around is to create collections of product types that have color variations. Otherwise, just create collections of like designs on different products as usual.
