No notifications on recent sales from my shop

I ordered three items from my shop to give as Mother’s Day gifts, and I didn’t receive a notification about these sales, I didn’t receive a royalty, and these items still say “Number of Sales: 0.”

I’ve received one of the three items already. One is listed as out for delivery, and the third item I just ordered today.

Even if I don’t deserve a royalty for these sales (which I do), these items need to reflect the sales information.

Has anyone else noticed a similar issue? This is my second post about this issue. I thought the issue was a fluke, but it’s still happening today.

Thanks.

Yeah - I think it works that way because they don't want to record a sale/royalty every time a customer who doesn't have a storefront comes in and creates a product from one of the Zazzle blanks... so when you come into your own store it's like you are just any other customer. You can still get the sale/royalty if you make your changes and post the item to your store, then buy exactly as is.

If you made any changes to the item - even template changes, they are no longer technically items that you have posted for sale.. they are just items that you have personally customized, they don't record as sales or as royalties.  In order to get a sale/royalty the item has to be exactly as you want it, posted for sale in your store (even if it's a direct only item) and purchased with no changes.

You mean if I change the name on a product that I created, then it’s no longer my product? If any other customer changes the name on my product, I get credit for the sale plus a royalty. That doesn’t make any sense or seem fair at all. A product from my store sold (in this case three products), and I get no credit for the sales?

Thanks for the info. 🙂

I just ordered 2 items from my store on Saturday. Today I noticed that only one is showing on my earnings page. Neither item had design changes. Color change on hat, Size change on mug (the mug is not showing.)

Both items show on my order page.

Before I purchase anything from my store, I exit Z, clear cookies and then come back via one of my referral links.  I make all sorts of changes to template text, sometimes enter the design tool and tweak things a bit, even change text colors and images... once done with all changes I add to cart.  I follow the process until I am directed to log in.  I then log in and finish the purchase.  Following this process, I am always credited for the sale, I always earn a referral and royalty.

Problems occur when you are already signed in to Z and decide to purchase something without signing out and coming back as a customer would, not signed in

If you are signed in, then Z assumes that you are in the process of creating something to sell... but if  you don't publish it, and proceed to add to cart and purchase Z sees it as something private, not for public consumption, and you don't get the earnings or stat increases you'd expect.

I hope that makes sense...

I did send myself a link to messenger. I’m not sure I was logged into Zazzle. I’ll give that a go next time. I still think that I deserve the sold item credits and royalties for the three items that I purchased.

I errored once or twicce early on and remember feeling frustrated and irritated about it.  Now, when I purchase, the first thing I do is go and check my sales stats and amounts.  Referrals are displayed almost immediately and the earnings amount should change immediately as well.  Royalty sales take 15 minutes or longer to show up, in my experience...

But if I notice that there is no referral, or that my total sales number and dollar amount did not increase, I immediately go and cancel the sale.  Then I start over.

Best of luck next time around.
