Notification Bell stopped working 12.23.22

Just realized the notifications bell hasn't been updated since December 23rd, 22.

I just checked one of my stores and got this when I clicked on the bell—-

Welcome to your notifications!
You’ll receive updates on your orders, favorite products, stores, collections, and other activities here.
Check back regularly for new updates!
Pro tip: Start following your favorite stores to see more personalized content.

So I checked my next store and notifications are working. 
okay then…so I went back to the first store and notifications are working and the lame-o message is gone.
So it’s the bell having spasms. What a ding dong. 



@LMGildersleevetry bumping the bell by going to a second shop, clicking the bell, then going back to the first shop. That might get it going again.

I do not get the "welcome" message after logging in. And going to any shop doesn't change anything. I am now 4 days behind.

Okay then…hmmm…
one other idea, try logging out, clear history, clear cookies, restart your computer. Sign in again, bell or no bell notifications? Then let us know whether “the bell tolls for thee”….

Well this morning I did these tasks before coming here. I've got the Welcome to" message under the bell now. At least it will start fresh. 🤞

Well not finally actually. Now nothing is updated under the little bell... in any store. So, it's still broken. lol

How does it work?


Most of these notifications will show up within the first few minutes of when the event occurred. You must be logged into your account to view your notifications and they will expire after 30 days.

This is just the first stage of our on-site notifications. We have many more to come! Please feel free to share your feedback on this amazing new feature, here.

OK, but it is still now working. I get sales everyday and I can understand if those over 30 days old disappear. However, where are the daily sales and other notifications I receive under the bell on a regular basis?

This is a bug.

The notification bell in my shop is still working. I did notice when you first log into your account, you get the message, "Welcome to your notifications! You’ll receive updates on your orders, favorite products, stores, collections, and other activities here. Check back regularly for new updates!" then it disappears when you get a new notification.

How do you know whether the notification bell has been updated or not?

On my little bell notifications there is a light gray text line on each entry with a time stamp @Jadendreamer13 .

I'm having this problem too.

Every time I click the button lately, I receive the following message:

Welcome to your notifications! 👋

I have had sales during this time so I should have received notifications. I was receiving a lot of notifications before mid December.
 
(I tried to reply to this post last night and couldn't so I ended up starting a new post. I see your reply on my new post and now it won't let me post to that reply 🙄)

When I log into your accounts I see notifications, exactly as I'd expect. I'm curious if you're running an ad blocker of some sort in your web browser. If so, can you let me know which ad blocker you're running?

Also, I'm curious what browser you're using.

We don't have any ad blockers. We use Safari.

My notifications is working fine. I get notifications when I make a sale etc. I run the ad blocker, uBlock, but it hasn't affected anything in my shop.

I am using safari with no ad blockers. My notifications are still not working. 

We only show notifications for a few days, so it's possible that you don't have any notifications to display at this time.

I just Liked one of your pillows, so let's see if that shows up in your notifications in the future. Give it a few hours to see if the notification appears.

I don't know if this could have worked, but I Liked one of my products a few hours ago and still have the same message and no notifications.

We're back to a delay. I'll give it a couple of days more (we're at 2 days now) and report back.

My bell is silent for a very long time.

The bug is back. The Bell notifications stopped working for me on January 19th.

Nope - Notification bell still not visible (even though I've made sales etc). Has been MIA since start of February.

Mine started up again after I tagged @Scott
