Product View Insights v Quick Stats discrepancy

Not sure whether this is a bug so feel free to move 

According to the product insights of https://www.zazzle.com/30th_birthday_balloon_pattern_monogram_blush_pink_socks-256159301263380076 the last 7 days stats were 17 views

 

but if you change it to 365 days it goes down to 14 views

 

 not by me as you can see Zazzle brought 100% of the views however the Quick Stats Product Insights is showing no views (similar to back end stats)

Can Quick Stats/ Product Insights be trusted or are view counts lagging again?

Hi Sara, Romy here!

I am experiencing exactly the same isssue on every product of my shop!

There is a big discrepancy between the general insights and the quick stats AND the Google insights!

I wrote to the support asking to verify this issue, since this means losing the "trending label" on many products!

I will update my answer about this topic when I will receive an answer from Zazzle!

@Suomii Yes please update this thread with any news you have. I have many products where the store stats says 0 views yet the product insights are showing lots of views and searches. There must be a bug where the insights aren't talking to the store stats and transferring that data over. Hope you hear back soon Romy!

Just to update this 

Views in the back end = 3

View insights tell a different story 

So am thinking there must a problem with either view insights over-inflating data or store stats are frozen in time or they're not communicating with each other. I've got other socks with the same issue of no views in the stats back end but view insights are showing action

Just thought I'd keep this thread alive from August seeing as the problem is still ongoing

Im experiencing the same issue. (@ Sarah M, thanks for your response the other day relating to a similar issue. I played around with the date range, but no success in bringing the graph back to life 😉

Keeping this thread alive as it's a still an issue 10 months later and the problem is still ongoing

Comparing product insights to back end stats - these have activity but are not being credited in the stats.

Last viewed date never and last viewed date 8/9 months ago when in fact all have been viewed in June/July of this year and some have appeared in searches according to Product Insights
