Does anyone have a good reason why the photos of the oven mitt and the pot holder need to display the designs so they are upside down when hung? I’m sure this is an issue that will come up with customers, and I personally would want them to be right side up when hung. I could alternatively rotate my designs to be upside down so they hang correctly, but that’s difficult for customers to work with. It would be best if all the photos showed the oven mitt and the pot holder with the hanging loop on top. I hope Zazzle addresses this issue because they look like nice products otherwise.

Have a look at this post:

There is not any right way to do these, which way people prefer the design on their mitts is really subjective. If you want them displaying right-side-up when hanging in the Zazzle in situ, you have to design them that way in the Design Tool.

Depends on how you look at it, doesn't it... I've designed mine so that they are "right side up" when being used, which does indeed mean they are upside down when hung by their straps.

Thank you for the replies. I can see how the mitt can be subjective, but the pot holder can be used any which way so it might as well be displayed with the hanging loop on top to satisfy all preferences. It’s easy for me to work with the design upside down, but some customers are already overwhelmed by the design editor let alone having to deal with an upside down template. It would be great if Zazzle could come up with a more ideal solution, but until then, I’m considering doing my designs sideways to mitigate this issue.

Who uses a potholder with the loop facing anything but down... if it's up it will probably get into your food.

However you choose to use a pot holder, it doesn’t matter which way the design is oriented because you’re folding or scrunching it up to grab your hot item or using it like a trivet. So it might as well be designed to look good hanging.

How many people actually hang their potholders on a hook? I keep mine in a drawer.

We do too, but I'm not selling to me. So it'd be nice to fix if that's what people do, you know?

I hung a mitt because it had cool artwork on it with a message I liked. I would hang a pot holder too if it was special. Other mitts and pot holders went in the drawers. I’m assuming customers who go through the effort and cost of personalizing their pot holders and mitts won’t treat them the same as the ones they throw in drawers. They may prefer to hang them to show off their designs or to use for decorative purposes only.

I buy my oven mitts in the dollar store because, expensive or not, I destroy them. The new ones hang from their loop next to the stove because their images are right side up just as I feel they ought to be.
