Transfer design misalignment issues

Recently I've been noticing that when I transfer a design from one product to another, the design on the new product is misaligned. At first, I thought it was because of different product sizes, like transferring a pillow to a coaster, but now it's happening when transferring from a 5x7 card to another 5x7 card! Like from an invitation to a Save the Date card. It's not a drastic change, just enough to make it hard to see at a glance, but definitely off-centered.

Me too, I've noticed the off-centre thing.

I've also encountered grouped items appearing incorrectly when transferred, e.g. a heart with various lines of text on it, changing to a heart with the text messily arranged and not within the heart.

Oh man, I already fixed the error before I posted the product, and didn't get a screenshot! I tried to replicate it again with the same original products, and now it seems to be working OK. If it happens again, I'll take a screenshot for sure before I post it.

Same here, but not always. And as you say it's quite a small difference so we need to be on the ball to catch it.

I'm trying to get into the habit of selecting every thing and Aligning to center (well, everything that needs to be centered) one last time before posting. But I don't always remember to.
