I've never used the transfer design feature, but, as a designer, I needed to turn a postcard design into full size 5 x7 invitation for a customer, so I used I enabled the transfer feature just to move everything quickly and easily to the 5 x 7 invitation. (though it needed considerable rearranging to make look correct and delete all the postcard junk on the back)
But the weird thing was, moving the design elements around on the 5x7 ALSO moved the POSTCARD design around, making it larger and so on.
And even weirder and more inconvenient is that postcard design, even when I fixed it and HAD to REPOST IT FOR SALE AGAIN, it never resumed postcard size. It remained a fat rectangular shape like it was trying to be a cut-down 5x 7 rather then springing back to postcard size and the postcard junk on back was vertical in the one thumbnail where you can see front/back layered over each other. There was no way to make it right. I'll have to completely redesign that postcard AS A postcard. Seems no way to undo the "transfer damage."
So my complaint is the transfer should cease being connected to the original design once applied to a different design with like a pop window asking, "are you thru with this original design; yes or no" and then disconnects, so I can manage the new design without HAVING TO FIX AND REPOST FOR SALE the ORIGINAL DESIGN (which resists even being fixed.). That is just stupid.
I only used the transfer feature because my computer I normally work on is messed up and needs a trip to repair shop and I'm using another computer that doesn't have access to all my photos and usual stuff, so I needed to use a direct the transfer from postcard to full size invitation o accommodate a customer request so I could get what I hope will be a good sale. The transfer thing is horrible.😝

I use the Transfer feature A LOT, and I've never run into this problem. Either you have a terrible glitch, or they are doing some testing of new features or something.

I do not feel I received an adequate response to this issue. All I can say is what I said happened and as a result of that happening, both the original Grad postcard design AND the subsequent weird looking design that did NOT return to postcard format had to be both set to Hidden until I can put that Grad postcard design back in order and republish to the marketplace.

Maybe it would help if you spelled out each step you took when attempting to transfer your design from one product to another. I have never experienced what you described. When I transfer a post card design to a flat invitation, the original post card design is unchanged. I make the necessary changes on the new invitation product and when I am satisfied with my changes, I publish it for sale. My original design remains unchanged.

#1 enabled transfer and transferred postcard design image to a 5 x 7 on Zazzle design board. (since I made this entire design on the Zazzle design board to begin with.)
#2) started arranging elements on the 5 x 7 card, BUT in the preview window on bottom right, the card continued to look postcard size in height & 5 inches wide like a pudgy, cut-down version of the 5 x 7.
#3) I finished the 5 x 7, published it, closed that and went back to the original postcard design to put it back in order, since design elements seemed out of place reflecting spacing & text sizing I'd done on the 5 x 7.
#4) Then published the postcard to marketplace fresh again, but the image that published was not a postcard dimension, but looked like that preview image I'd seen while working on the 5 x 7 that had postcard height, but the width of 5 inches, leaving it as a kind of pudgy rectangle, rather then the slimmer postcard proportions. Design elements were in right locations, but they seemed closer to text on top and bottom, like was a cropped version of the 5 x 7 design.
#6) Hid all 3 designs until I could get around to fixing them (since customer didn't buy the 5 x 7 design)
If this was a glitch, it's a doozy and deserves an official "I'll pass this along" from Z.

When you open your original post card design and select “transfer design to a product”, then select the 5x7 invitation, the invitation will open with the post card design copied onto it. The original post card does not change. Nothing you edit on the new 5x7 invitation affects your original post card. If your original post card somehow changed, a Zazzle mod should respond to this post to explain. That is all I have to offer in the way of explanation based on my experience using the transfer function. I hope you get a response from a Zazzle mod.

Hi @BevStuff,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing an issue but I cannot replicate the error you're reporting on my side. Could you provide a link(s) to the designs in questions so that we can take a closer looks at this for you?
Thank you for your patience!
Pádraig
