What size and dpi should store banners be?

Zazzle Help stats they should be 2280x380 pixels. But the banner tool won't accept images that size. It makes me crop them off.

I went to my images and got the info for a banner that looks good on it's store and it is 1140x315 pixels, so that is what I've been using.

Does anyone know what dpi we should use? There isn't any dpi's mentioned for any of the store images.

Thank you, Angel

Thank you for that link. 😀😊😀

I now have to go fix all of my store banners. But better that than having them not work for customers.

Have you seen anywhere where the mention the dpi for store images?

Just an FYI on what I've learned over the years! A good article can be found here: https://bit.ly/3EekazR

PPI or pixels per inch is generally used for creating web images. DPI, dots per inch is the lingo used in printing.

You don't need to make images for web pages any more than 96ppi, at whatever size the image needs to be. So, if the banners for the shop need to be 2280ppi x 380ppi, (or whatever they need to be, maybe they've changed the size by now), you can create them at the lowest setting of 96ppi because that is what the web page is going to show them at, no matter what size you create them. It won't matter if you put a high resolution image up, it's still going to be shown at 96ppi. It used to be 72ppi, but it is now higher.

The resolution of an image at 300ppi or higher, is used for printing standards, for clarity. Higher ppi is needed for some printers, but generally 300ppi is used.

The latest size for the shop banner said 1140 x 315, mine is that at 150ppi
