@ColsCreationsI downloaded both images in two different ways.
If I download them directly from the post: The dog image was 999x999 pixels. Your banner was 999x370 pixels. Both were PNG format.
If I download them by clicking on the image and then clicking the download button, they both saved full-size.

OK. Wow. So when you manually upload images into a post, when the viewer clicks it, it opens a scrolling photo gallery of all the images you added to the post and the pics are a nice big size for viewing. This is really awesome! However ...
There's a handy little "download" icon that allows viewers to download the image with one simple click. And having tried this a couple of times, that downloaded image is the same size & bytes as the original. So
1) this is a fantastic way to include custom images in Show Me posts that affiliates can then easily grab to use if they want in promoting your products
2) if you want to share an image that for some reason you wouldn't want others to have the orig quality version of, then you should reduce the size/quality and/or watermark it or something before uploading to your post.
That said - we need someone to download one of my images above and see if you also end up with the original full size version (noted in the caption of each). There is the possibility that only the poster who uploaded it can download the orig while others get a reduced version. Which would make 1 & 2 above moot points but we won't know without a test ...

I downloaded stock dog from above post>save image as>firefox>opened in pshop>999x999 72dpi png 1.9mb
But when I click on the dog and use the d/load button, I get 1000x1000 2.86mb 72dpi.
Either way, still only 72dpi after downloaded.
I know,I know....a little late to respond, but just found your post when looking for something else.
Rrrrrrffffff! to the dog.

The original image as uploaded was 72ppi. The banner was uploaded at 200ppi and you get 200ppi when downloaded same way. The forum software isn't reducing image size or quality at all, one gets the original when downloading via the button in the image viewer.

I downloaded for you to help you test and didn't get the same results.
The rainbow pup was 999x999 with 72 dpi.
The banner was 999x370 with 200 dpi.
I tried a Facebook post... and the square rainbow pup was cropped to the dimensions that is ideal for their platform ... 1200 x 630 pixels.

Thankyou! When you add image to post and check the HTML, 999 is the width if you choose the Large option for posting. (You can of course change that.) But I wanted to see what size one gets when they use the download icon and you have confirmed that yes, one gets the original full size image that way.

Those dates don't make sense to me but that's not important. What's important is we know now that not only is one getting the full original image with the download button, it's also still got any EXIF data you didn't strip out before posting. Thank you for finding that out!

I read your question correctly and I told it to my elder brother https://community.zazzle.com/t5/testing-10eloto-board/image-size-after-upload-amp-download-test/m-p/1506 And I have shared it with my friends. As soon as I get the best answer, I will tell you here
