Are there any Changes in the promoter program?

I am in a promoter program and always sharing only my links (earning 35% from my sales) today I received 15% from another creators store refferal, I have never promoted other products. Does anything changed? If anyone faced the same situation? Thanks in advance

I too am in the Promoter 2.0 program and I do not recall any changes. Normally, the referrals I receive are 35%. Today, I received 2 referrals at 15% for someone else's products. I looked at the 2 products and see they were created some time after I joined the Promoter 2.0 program, so I don't believe these referrals are from an old pin I made prior to joining the Promoter 2.0 program. I assume they are the result of someone coming into Zazzle on my referral link and choosing to purchase someone's else's products.

The only problem with that scenario is that--supposedly--if someone comes in on our clean promoter link and then buys someone else's product, we get no referral out of it. Are you absolutely sure you don't have some forgotten pin on Pinterest with your referral number?

Or...are they wiping out the 35% and give us the normal 15% of regular referrals? But then, how would they even do this?

The products I received the referral on were created after I was already in the Promoter 2 Program. They are not my pins.

If the product you received a referral on isn't a pin you created makes no difference. You'll get that referral if they came in on any of your pins that include your referral number even if you're in the promoter program as long as that pin has your associate number appended to it, which can happen with any older pin you created before you were a promoter. There's no way of knowing what pin of yours generated such a referral--they never say. Look through your older pins' links to see if there's a referral number. That will be the culprit.

Is it possible that they came into Zazzle through one of your old pins, but then bought a newer product? I never got any referrals before I joined the 2.0 program, so I don't know if it works that way.

It’s a mystery to me!

That's the basic idea of the referrals - if they come in off your link and then buy anything in the next month or so, you get the percentage. It does not have to be the thing you linked to.

Yes this is an basic idea of refferals if you are in a associate program, but in a promoter program you are earning 35% from your own products phisycal and 15% from digital. I have never promoted other products but I have earned.

But I was discussing @DancingPelican's situation of receiving a 15% referral for somebody else's product. That probably happened because somebody followed an old link from the Promoter 1 program and then bought something else before the cookie was removed or expired.

For anyone reading this unaware there are two different referral programs here is a breakdown and short summery.

The Associates program gives you 15% referral income from your own products or a different Creators products. Your link must have your referral number attached to the url.

The Promoter Program allows you to receive 35% (or 15% off digital) referral income from a link without a referral number purchasing only your own products. It should not give you 15% referral income from another Creator's products.

If you had been using the Associates Program prior to joining the Promoter Program, you literally see 15% referral income years after doing so. The customer would only have to come to Zazzle via your old AP link with referral ID and purchase literally anything from Zazzle and you'd get referral $.

It is quite a mystery. In a perfect Zazzle referral world, wouldn't it be awesome if these programs were combined? But of course pigs fly and unicorns still exist. 😅
