Back in the days when the background color for a design was easily changed by a customer because the palette was right there within the personalize area, I made a number of products where this was pointed out to the shopper. Now and then, I come across one of my older products that touts changing the color, and my only recourse is to either delete the product or change the title and description to exclude the possibility, given that our descriptions have all but dropped off the page.
Has anyone found a way to revive the semi-automatic change of color? I'd love being able to give it back to customers.

I haven't been on Zazzle long enough to remember having the backgrounds on the product page, but I think you could achieve something similar if you made different versions with different background colors. Once Zazzle groups them, the customer could see the color choices on the product page rather than having to enter the design tool. Of course, they couldn't choose any color they wanted, but it would be better than having to enter the design tool.
Maybe it's different in "wedding land" than for other products, but I think that people tend to search for the color they want rather than "any color" or something like that, so it might even yield better results doing it the individual color way.

That's what I did: created color groupings. However, that doesn't always work in all situations. For instance, when you're trying to create reunion postcards with which people can choose their school colors, the combos required are just too many because of 6 primary colors plus gray, white, or black.
I'm hoping someone has come up with a method, though what I'd truly hope for is Zazzle bringing back the palette on product pages. I wonder why they discontinued it.
