Hi from Spain! I wanted to ask a question about the use of flyers as invitations. Do you have many cancellations of this type of product with such fine paper? Is it worth it because sales are much higher than cancellations? I ask this question because I have had designs for invitations and save the date cards on paper sheets for a long time that are selling well and I have several designs as editor's pick, I am very satisfied in general, but when they choose the satin paper option they tend to cancel and in quite a few times they are multi-unit sales, so it's very depressing to lose a royalty of more than $10... for this reason I was wondering if it's worth wasting a bit of my time to put one of my featured designs up for sale as a flyer . I hope to get my ProSilver badge in the next few months and to have one more option right now would be quite encouraging for me.

Hi @Mariholly I do offer these as alternatives for some of my invitation designs alongside the usual card invites. Personally I think the key is to make sure you make it clear in both your title and description that it is paper not card. When I use a flyer for an invite I always start the title with PAPER in caps (in case they don’t read the description) and in the description reiterate it is on paper, not card. Or when using the 4.5 x 5.6” paper sheet, I usually put in the template itself (in the header for the first line of text) that they can choose between either a 110gsm semi-gloss which I recommend or a thinner 80gsm satin paper - then it is in a prominent place for folk to see in case they miss it in the description. As long as customers are made aware, they can then decide which best suits their needs and therefore hopefully reduces the risk of them being disappointed with their order as they know what to expect

Hi Mariholly, why don’t you test by adding one product and see what happens? Possibly use one of your editors picks or a best seller, which could give you some quick feedback.
I can’t give you a better answer because I don’t do paper products, my reasoning is that it is too easy for the paper product image to be ordered, cancelled and then scanned for resale or reprint by a renegade buyer. And once the theft is done, there is really no way to protect the intellectual property.

Thank you, I think it is excellent advice, I will try to include the word PAPER in the title of my flyers as invitation cards. As for PAPER SHEETS, I have thought of blocking sizes and types of paper, since most of the designs are made for a specific size and one change means that the buyer should know how to use the design tool with some ease and this is not always the case. .. Sometimes I have to close my eyes when I see what they have done with my designs... 😵💫
Happy holidays!
