We advertise Zazzle designers and products on our blog, MarBethHomeArts.com . However, Elizabeth is trying to add AdSense. She is getting a message that says it can't find the ad code and she can't figure out how to fix it.

@MarilynR

I don't know anything about adsense I'm afraid but I did ask Bard/Gemini to see if he had any ideas. - you could try and troubleshoot directly and see if it helps. https://gemini.google.com

"The error message indicating that the ad code cannot be found suggests that there might be a discrepancy between the code itself and its placement on the blog's pages.

Potential Solutions:

1. Verify Ad Code Accuracy:

Double-check the code: Ensure that the AdSense code provided by Google is copied and pasted correctly without any errors or extra characters.

Check for formatting: Make sure the code is not enclosed within any HTML tags or elements that might interfere with its rendering.

2. Inspect Placement:

Ideal location: AdSense code typically works best when placed within the <head> section of your HTML pages. This ensures that the ads are loaded before the main content.

Check for conflicts: If there are any scripts or plugins that might interfere with AdSense, try disabling them temporarily to see if the issue resolves.

3. Inspect HTML Structure:

Valid HTML: Ensure that the overall HTML structure of the blog pages is valid and free of errors. Use a validator tool like W3C's HTML validator to check for any issues.

Custom templates: If the blog uses custom templates, make sure they are compatible with AdSense and don't have any conflicting elements.

4. Test on Different Pages:

Isolate the issue: Try placing the AdSense code on a different page or section of the blog to see if the problem persists. This can help narrow down the potential causes.

Additional Tips:

Use AdSense's Preview Mode: This feature allows you to preview how ads will appear on your pages before they go live.

Check for Browser Compatibility: Ensure that the AdSense code is compatible with the browsers your audience is most likely to use.

Consider AdSense Alternatives: If you're unable to resolve the issue with AdSense, explore other advertising platforms that might be suitable for your blog."

Good luck getting it sorted!

Thank you,  Sara. I'm not sure what did it, but we have ads now.
