Phone Case Marketplace Question

I am relatively new to Zazzle, and still learning, so I have a question about the best way to post phone case designs to get the best visibility. None of my phone cases have ever sold, and some have shown up recently for optimization, so I want to see if I am doing something wrong.

I know we design them for a specific phone model, but is that the only search they will appear in? For instance: if I post a design in this marketplace department: Electronics > Phone Cases & Accessories > iPhone Cases > iPhone 14 Plus Cases, will it only be visible if someone searches "iPhone 14 Plus Cases"? 

Since the designs are able to be used on more then one model of phone, would it be better to list them without the specific model: Electronics > Phone Cases & Accessories > iPhone Cases, or do we have to apply the design ourselves to each model and post them separately?

Phone cases are a funny beast.

Zazzle will show them on whatever model is searched for. So if you made a black and white striped design for a 14 plus and it's in the 14 plus department - if someone searched for a 16 with a black and white striped design -  (and by chance your keywords matched with their search term) your phone case would magically show already on a 16 (even though you published it on a 14 plus)

Customer search for design first with phone cases and not necessarily the model - "ooh I want a red 16 phone case" (but i don't know if that's true 🤣)

Whether the customer would buy it is another thing as it will appear with hundreds more 16 with a  black and white striped design - and if any of them have sold - will be above yours in the search.

You have to specify a model to post for sale - leave the rest up to zazzle search (and don't forget to promote your phone cases - sales will help get visibility - you are competing with designers that have been here for years and have hundreds/thousands of phone cases for sale)

It's up to you whether you post on every model. Some designers do and some don't. Save yourself some work - make one - promote it on whatever model you like (most recent is best) and mention in your promotionals that it's available on all the models.

In the early days - I did post same design on different models - and zazzle doesn't show them in search so it was wasted effort

At the end of the day - the choice is yours

Whatever you do @SparkleAnn make sure your design works on the newer models. If you make designs for one model, it may not work well on another. Double check your cases to when relisting them into the MP.
