Upload 10 media items (+5%)

Hello all,

My store is currently at 95% and I would like to complete the task 'upload 10 media items' for the remaining 5%.

My question is, what do the media items have to be like?  To begin with, I thought perhaps I had to buy 10 items from my own store, and take photos or videos of them. Now I am not so sure. What are the dos and don'ts?

If you click on your media tab you will see this—-

All Media

Upload pictures or videos that celebrate your designs in action or showcase your brand. These media items will be displayed in the "Media" section of your Home tab as well as in your store About tab.

Answering your questions—-
Photos of items which I must first buy from my store?
You don’t have to buy anything.

Mock-ups of various products combined into one picture?
I suppose you could, but keep it simple, just add an image, mock-up combos would be too time consuming and unnecessary.

Abstract patterns which appear on some of my items?
If you want to showcase an abstract yes you can, you could also showcase particular products. You can for example, use your store logo as one of your media images.

Just remember to follow the image size guidelines I mentioned before.

Media Images
Any photography or images you add to your All Media section should be at least 1080 x 1440 pixels.
The image sizes we give above are the minimum of what you need to upload. If you want the best resolution possible, double the pixel size we suggested above.  If you want the best resolution possible, double the pixel size we suggested above.

Thank you for your reply, @idraw. That's useful to know about the resolution and size.

I'm wondering though, what should the actual content of the media items be?

Photos of items which I must first buy from my store?
Mock-ups of various products combined into one picture?
Abstract patterns which appear on some of my items?
Something else?

I'm not sure what is permitted or advised - any suggestions please?

It can be any of the items you listed there.  You do not have to buy products to photograph.  I used to put work in progress pictures of my artwork.  You can just simply download product mockups (from the product page at the top there it an option that is "other", when you click that you can download the mockup) from items you have already made of maybe your top 10 favorite designs on 10 different products.  You can add short videos, although I think people have trouble with getting videos on sometimes.

You can get creative or you can just make it simple to get it done and get that credit because most customers don't even visit our storefronts unless you have a following and are driving them there with your own promotional efforts.

I just use the same exact images I use in my products. Although one of them I did mockup to look like it's on a giant billboard.

I also do Postcrossing!

I just went to my main store to see what I have uploaded. Several items that I (or family member) bought. At one time I had some of my canvas prints on display = so a photo of the display wall.
I will have to put up some newer images.
