When does the holiday forum freeze begin?

I can't find a post about when the forums will be shut down for the holidays? I assume this will still happen even with the new format?

I hope they don't shut it down honestly there's so many tech issues, I think it would be in everyone's best interest if they didn't. Aside from that I wouldn't mind but I would like as many bugs to be squashed before the new year as possible. If forums shut down how will we be able to report problems/fixes to problems.
