Has anyone received their tax 1099 form from Z yet?

In the US the IRS has already opened up tax season earlier than normal. We usually receive a 1099 form my Z each year but I have not received mine yet and I'm getting ready to file my tax returns. Has anyone else received theirs? Has something changed in the time frame we are to expect this form? I thought it was to be received by us by the end of January?

Hi @MsSnazzy & @Tannaidhe , sorry to hear you haven't received your 1099 form yet. Can you confirm the address in your Zazzle payment settings is correct? Once confirmed, we will reach out to you to resolve this.

Yep, I made double sure at the start of the year that I'd updated it (we moved in the fall) and triple checked just now. 🙂

Yes, I confirmed it is correct. I am also subscribed to the US Post Office where I get daily reports of what mail was scanned and will be delivered to my home that day. There has been nothing from Zazzle.

I have not received mine either. I updated my address to the version the post office likes better, but it really shouldn't make a difference. They both work just fine. Can you help?

Thanks for confirming @MsSnazzy @sunnymorning @LoraSeverson @Tannaidhe , I'm afraid we don't appear to have 1099'a on file for either of you, which indicated they could have been issued by PayPal. Please check with them directly. If they also do not have one on file for you, let me know here.

Thank you for checking. Can you confirm that Zazzle will no longer be sending me 1099-MISC forms via mail? PayPal provided a 1099K form of total earnings to my PayPal account.  This goes back to my original question. PayPal's form only states the total amount received. When filing taxes, how would we decipher how much Zazzle paid us unless we manually went through the numbers in our Zazzle account? Shouldn't Zazzle be sending us something? After all, they are the ones paying us, not PayPal.

The only thing I have on PayPal is a 1099-K from *all* money I received in 2021.  I really need a 1099 *from Zazzle* showing my income from here.

Yes, same here. That is the issue at hand for me. I keep getting the 'you need to contact PayPal' response. Yet, PayPal is not the one who paid me - Zazzle did.  I emailed the Earning Dept and they are still looking into it. I will post here when I receive a response that is worthwhile.

 The response: "Our payment research team have confirmed we are unable to provide 1099-Misc forms for creators who are paid entirely through PayPal. Our team have advised that you will require a 1099-K form which can be downloaded at the following link:"

I went back to previous years and noticed that the amounts on zazzle’s 1099 was only for the earnings transferred to Paypal. Any earnings sitting in my zazzle account or used for merchandise was not on the 1099.  So since I didn’t transfer any earnings to Paypal in 2021, I don’t get a 1099 for 2021.  Thanks for your help.

A little confused, here... I've never received one. I'll be making my second year with Zazzle on the 19th of this month. I know my earnings are not very much (yet). What is the royalty earning required to receive a 1099?

I haven't either, but the IRS got very upset with us last year for not having one and fined us.  Hence my insistence that yes I really do need one, because they already flagged us for it.

Hello all... I am hoping this information helps someone here - as I was pulling my hair out, trying to get answers, with no luck (aside from some vague mention of needing a 1099-K and being sent to the IRS website to fill out a form for one) so I did some research and apparently the tax laws changed (I had no idea) and tax forms for those that received payments via PayPal will get their tax document there.  No one alerted me that this was changed (not Zazzle OR Paypal) and I have no idea how so many are still receiving a Zazzle 1099 - but for those who haven't yet received theirs - go to PayPal, visit your profile, select "statements and taxes" then "tax documents".  You will find the digital copy of the document you need there to file your taxes.    Best of luck to all.  I hope I've helped someone because I know I, personally, reached the end of my patience.

Wow, thank you for this information. Taxes are quite important and I'm sure we all would appreciate it if  companies, we give business to, would make it a point to direct us where to go for tax documents. Hopefully, next year it will be more clear.

I still receive a paper check from Zazzle. I do not want to use PayPal for income. It would be much easier if Zazzle would allow direct deposit AND would post our 1099s within our accounts.

I have a big problem. I received four 1099s from Zazzle. All with different amounts. None are close to how much I made. I don’t know what to do? Guess I’ll pay taxes on my estimate and not send a 1099. Help me Zazzle. This is messy.

I think I figured it out. Two say corrected at the top. So two are void. The corrected ones are for royalties and bonuses. Each has their own tax form.
