How do you add multiple color options on your product?

Can anyone tell me how to add color options for a product  I want to sell? I want to be able to offer multiple colors and unsure how to do this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can't add color options to a lone product. Instead, you create copies of the product, each copy with a different color. Once you do this, the system is supposed to pick up on the fact that you have several identical products except for their color, and it will add those color choices to each of the products. It can take a while for the update to happen, so you have to wait. You can try pushing it a bit by selecting all the products that belong together and then using the Actions dropdown to choose Group Products.

So many things to learn, right? I've been here since 2014 and am still learning.

I hear you. The process is always the fun part!  Again, much appreciated for taking the time to respond.

Hope it's okay to ask a related, follow up question on this old thread. The question: Is it enough to change the background color behind the design to trigger/qualify the grouping of products?

It's not my intention to spam the marketplace with 20 different background colors behind the same design (do people do this?); but I expect the customer will be happier making a simple color choice on the product page than taking the plunge into the "scary" editor, finding the background layer etc.

Background color is the single most popular method, so go for it.
