I have my main AugieDoggyStore, plus a few others that I started but mostly abandoned. Today I got a chat request about a product in one of the other stores. My questions:
1. How do I answer as the other store and not AugieDoggyStore?
2. If I don't answer, does the customer know it's AugieDoggyStore who is ignoring him? When I look at the chat, there's my logo and my custom message right at the top.

Chats use member profiles as far as I can tell and not stores. But if you see your logo I don't know? I rarely get chats.

When I switch over to other stores, the chat is always the same. My AugieDoggy logo with my custom chat message.

I only have one store, but since I use a different picture and name for my member profile than my store profile, I can confirm that chats are connected to the member/designer profile, NOT to the store.

As others have said already, chat is connected to your member profile, where you use your name. When you are in the chat it will show your avatar/logo and next to it it will show your name, not your store name. It is likely that you used your store logo in your member profile. There is no way that I am aware of to use chat as a store.
