So confusing!

It's so confusing the way Zazzle changed the Edit button! Now the big blue button is "Done" and the little words underneath are for editing using the Design tool! And I keep clicking the blue Done button, and not getting into the design tool!

I haven’t noticed that yet. I would be nice to get a post from Zazzle regarding changes to the design tool before they are implemented.

Can you post a screen shot? I'm not seeing anything like that... or maybe I just don't understand.

When you're on a product page with template fields you get the usual "Personalize" button that opens the template field panel on the right.

Done1.jpgOnce inside the panel to edit the template fields, there's now a Done button which closes the panel, and below that the option to edit using the design tool.

Done2.jpg

I actually like this update a lot. Before you had to click the X (which to me, an X always signifies you are canceling an action/input) or click outside the panel somewhere to close it.  The Done button is great confirmation for the shopper that their edits to the template fields have been saved and they're done unless they want to edit further by entering the design tool.

Thanks for clarifying! I'm still seeing it the old way:

I think I agree that this makes more sense for the customer. Either way, it's super helpful to know that they're testing this so I'm not directing people to click on a button that doesn't exist!

Just checked. I still get the new Done today using Firefox but not in Opera so par for the course for a beta test, being able to see things in one browser and not another and then maybe not at all the next day and so forth.

Oh, you just reminded me. I have put "click the big blue 'Edit using Design Tool button' in numerous descriptions and I think even some cover images/captions. 🙄

Oy! No good deed goes unpunished!

I actually get 2 buttons on desktop/Chrome, which is perfect (better than the tiny edit link) and I agree, I like it this user-friendly way.

Oh, look at you adding a third way people are seeing this test. 😁

Howeve Z decides, I hope they keep a re-assuring 'DONE" button.

I like this better!

the Done button is good for the customer, but not for me, LOL! It would be better if they put the EDIT above the DONE, so that I wouldn't click on Done first. And it would still make sense for the customer, too.

I have not seen anything like that.

I noticed this new format yesterday, but now it's changed back to the original way!

Most likely a test.

I get that "personalize" button sometimes, but I don't know why, and I've never tried to determine the reason. Figured it was just some annoying thing the system does in a particular scenario. But I'm still getting the big "edit" blue button.

I'm seeing this as well and also keep clicking the wrong button. Every little seemingly miniscule change on their part leads to total chaos on my muscle memory haha. The worst one for me lately is that My Files is now Uploads and moved to the top of the sidebar in the design tool... SO hard to unlearn this at the moment!

I hear you on the muscle memory thing. I'm ALWAYS looking for "undo" in the "edit" menu of the design tool. I KNOW it has it's own button and doesn't live in the edit menu, but since that's where "undo" lives in virtually every other program out there, my brain seems to be hard-wired to look for it there! Gah!

YES! I agree about the new Uploads, too. I keep fishing all around looking for My Files!

"My Images" would sound better anyway, cuz this is what it is.
