Weak weekend sales

I was expecting more black friday sales. It's so quiet this weekend. Is it just me? Are all Americans in Thanksgiving preparations. is the black friday boom coming next week? Or not at all?

@Bailamor this month has been quiet for me (not just the Black Friday sales). I'm seeing that this is also the case, even for retail sales here.

I have never seen much of an uptick in sales for "Black Friday". So far, this Nov. is better than last year.

It's not actually Black Friday until this coming Friday the day after our US Thanksgiving.  But I personally think all the early Black Friday deals have watered down the old explosion of sales that used to happen when everyone waited for the day of to hit the stores.  Not  just here on Zazzle, but almost every retailer online and brick and mortar have been having Black Friday deals since the beginning of November.

I agree with this.  Sales are now distributed over a much longer period of time, so Black Friday is far less pronounced.  I look at my own purchase patterns.  I used to shop Black Friday sales with gusto. Now that shopping has been redistributed over many months. I know I’m not alone.

This year November is strangely quiet for me also, though in the first two weeks there were some sales, but after 15th its all stuck again ... I really wonder are people not buying much at Zazzle like they used to before ? Are the competitor sites like Etsy and others are grabbing all the traffic ? ...

Considering the disaster election results I think a lot of Americans are preparing for the rising costs of everything. And BF is late this year.

I just made major purchases for products from foreign countries to beat paying the expected tariffs (national sales tax) that will be hitting US citizens in January. I am sure that I am not the only one. Those expenditures have replaced Christmas shopping this year.

ITA, we're planning to get a refrigerator this weekend. That's our Christmas budget right there.

I am also experiencing slow sales this November compared to last November although I have more products on my shop this year. I am wondering about the reason. Is it the inflation or will the sales increase on black Friday ?

I completely agree with @Malissa . Instead of having sales at random times with different monikers, stores and companies apparently believe that Black Friday holds the same magic it once had when it was the day after Thanksgiving. Amazon finally wised up, having "Prime Days" instead, but at this point, Black Friday indicates nothing more than yet another sale and a dearth of customers.
