Given the prominence my previous thread promoting Zazzle's affiliate program has in search engines I feel it appropriate I provide an update on where I stand regarding the current status of earning affiliate income via Zazzle.
Last year my self-referrals were multiple ( 5 plus ) daily which reflected the high number of referral traffic I sent to Zazzle. I did find it odd that my nonself-referral links appeared to diminish almost the moment I joined the p2 program despite continuing to share them widely. But with such great results from p2, I didn't give it any further thought.
Despite increasingly large amounts of traffic sent to Zazzle, my self-referrals have dropped to 1 or 2 every 3 or 4 days. This is a huge difference for which there appears to be no rhyme nor reason especially when in many cases I still use my 15% referral code as well as the 35% self-referral.
The conversion rate appears to be around 2000 linkovers to generate a single referral.
As such I can't hand-on-heart promote this any longer as a high-converting or effective affiliate program.
In addition, I recently became aware that without notice the product pages I was sending my promoter2 links to were being redirected ( those left via social media sites only) to a landing page ( not the product page) which includes 65 other Creator products ( often editors picks) for which no referral can be earned as per the p2 program unless the customer makes an additional choice to select the first product in the list. 1 in 66 chance they will make that decision as opposed to already being there which should to my mind be the case as per the terms of any affiliate contract ie. We the affiliate determine the page we want our links to go to not the brand.
This issue was queried on the forum and off with no response to date. The lack of response is beyond disappointing.
Without full transparency, answers to queries when raised, or at least an acknowledgment it is sadly not an affiliate program I can endorse at this present time. Hopefully, the tide will change, as previously it was to my mind the best affiliate program there was.
Meanwhile, I have Covid so please forgive any deficit in detail, reference links, or written style. I am very fuzzy at the moment.
Stay well this winter!

Are you thinking that the low conversion is a result of the sites you are sharing links on or are you concerned you are not receiving credit for sales you have made resulting in affiliate clicks? Is the change to your conversion rate isolated to your linkover sales? Have you noticed a success rate change for the other affiliate programs you participate in?
Sorry for so many questions. There is just a lot to unpack in your post and I am just trying to figure out what sort of response you would like to see so that we can all learn and grow.

My brain can't process this at the moment, but my feelings are the landing page redirect is a large factor, and 'who knows' why Zazzle's affiliate conversion rate is so astonishingly low. It's been discussed before and others report similar figures. I get decent conversions with other programs. For me for now ... it appears that Zazzle's program is flawed and in the absence of any response to any query relating to the Zazzle affiliate program, I have only my own thoughts to go by!

Thanks for sharing, and I hope you heal soon! I am not a part of the p2 program, but I hope that Zazzle will respond to your query soon.
I share dozens (often hundreds) of classic affiliate links daily, though, and I am finding diminishing returns. I'm not sure how many X/Twitter reposts (7K+ followers) or Pinterest pin saves (of my pins by others) should result in a conversion, but I have received only one referral in the past 5 months. I was getting a few per month prior to that, so I'm curious if anything has changed (on Zazzle's side or with the effectiveness of my reach) or if the issue is the economy in general. I am currently evaluating whether there's enough potential in the program (at least for me, personally) to keep spending 1-2 hrs per day on affiliate shares.
Thanks!

Thank you for sharing your numbers!
I found myself super inspired by the referral program back in September when I earned about $20 through the referral program with my Pinterest links. I decided to run ads in Pinterest because I knew which Pins were converting. My traffic went up and I made a few sales, yet did not earn any referral money.
I just wish I knew how to back into the traffic from some of the sales to see the source. I decided to give up on the Associates program after throwing away >$50.

Your results mirror my concerns. I feel like there might be technical issues, but with no response from Zazzle we're left guessing.

My last referral sales was last year 9/9/2022 and I wasn't even linking much, or trying compare to this year, this year I was aggressively sharing like a beast, but no sales at all, not sure what's going on anymore...

Sorry to hear you have covid. This year I got only one referral (even though it was a good one, more than $100). M question would be: do you think we should not be part of the p2 program, but only just put our referral number when we refer a product ours or another Zazzle creator? Thanks for your answer.

I have no idea. I refer via both methods. Neither appear to be converting as well as they did.

Thank you. At this point I really hope that Zazzle will let us know why the referral program is not working as much as in the past.

Interesting topic. I'm still a starter on Zazzle, but I noticed on my sales, there is never the referral payment percentage. Just for a few months associate program worked for me and I earn referrals, even if my goal is sell my products, not earn by referral. I do not know about others. So, talking about referrals earnings I can say, as I has been informed, they come very rarely on my end, I think sometimes they are not recognized, due to privacy and/or way to browsing of the users als for new rules about cookies or something else.

Hi all.
Has anyone received any more information about this?
