I know this has been discussed to death, and I know Zazzle is analyzing data from the test run, but I just want to add another voice to the chorus begging for this feature. I just had to delete about 30 products that I'd already promoted because I discovered that I forgot to set the inner fill property on the photo template. It just kills me not to be able to fix things like that, and deleting products after they've already been promoted is such a messy solution.

I've had to do that as well. More times than I'd like to admit to. It's awful not being able to fix things, especially knowing that it's a nonissue on other POD platforms. Please reconsider and make this feature available again, this time for all of us.

I do see how it could be abused in terms of tricking the algorithm for products with a lot of sales, but for products with few or no sales, it just seems like a regulation with no discernable purpose. I have to think that perhaps there is some technical complication underlying this policy, because if not, it just seems like a self-defeating way to go about things.

@Cat I don't know enough about how most algorithms work but I certainly know I would appreciate fixing old logo styles on the backs of cards and so much more. I've been here so long I have a variety of attribution designs on card backs. ☺️

@Marcia Interesting to know it's possible on other PODs. I'm only on Z.

@PAZP  one can change out artwork and/or recrop as well as change title, tags, etc. Although since there is no personalization involved, I'm assuming technically, it's much easier for those PODs to make it available.

@Marcia Oh, I didn't realize there is no customization on other PODs. That makes me all the more happy I settled on Zazzle after leaving my stock photography endeavor.

I soooo agree, I often stumble upon older designs where I've forgotten to check the box for allow editing f.i. Ofcourse we can all redo these, but not only do you loose a lot of views, by deleting the old ones, we create a lot of dead links to the Zazzle site, since we've allready promoted them.

Hello @Cat and everyone,

Thanks for your suggestions and feedback on this. I'll note this for review.

Thanks again 🙂

@Cat Not sure what you mean by 'tricking the algorithm'???

I have deleted and recreated sooooo many products that had sales/views/placement because they needed an adjustment that could have easily been fixed with this feature. I have 1000s right now that I want to fix. Postcards are my highest priority so I can remove my attribution.

@Caprice Well, I certainly don't know the details of Zazzle's search algorithm, but it's clear that products with a lot of sales rank higher in the marketplace than those without. So, if Zazzle were to allow us to make any changes at all to a design, then theoretically you could replace an existing design with something completely different, and your "new" design would inherit all of the sales ranking from the previous one. For most items it's a non-issue, because why would you want to replace a good selling design? But for things like t-shirts relating to current events I can see the possibility for abuse - like replacing a design that got a lot of sales in the past but is no longer relevant with a new design, and jumping to the top of the ranking.

I'm not at all sure that this is Zazzle's reasoning for not allowing us to make design changes, it's just a guess on my part. But the fact that during the test run they wanted to approve each change manually is a good clue that this is at least part of what they're thinking. But who knows, perhaps that has nothing to do with it and it's just some sort of a technical thing that the system can't handle without human intervention.
