I know this has been suggested NUMEROUS times over the years - but considering that PayPal has now made a stance that they will fine people $2500 if they consider anything they say as misinformation - I think it's time to reconsider your stance on how we can get paid.  PLEASE start making direct bank deposit a choice for royalty / referral payments.

We should not have to walk a politically correct line in order to get our money.

Yes, I know they said it's a "mistake" but how do you "mistakenly" put something like that out there?

I would really prefer direct deposit, because it keeps my funds under the protection of the US banking regulations. These give the consumer long-term protections that corporate entities don't. I hold my breath every month on the 15th until I get paid and begin the transfer to my bank. The checking alternative puts my payment at the mercy of USPS which is not a sure thing anymore either.

@ColsCreations

With all due respect, you are wildly missing the key issue here.

You said about Paypal T&Cs, "Your pretty standard bucket of violations on any website but for reasons I truly don't understand, "promote misinformation" under (g) triggered people."

We are talking about - as you stated - "a website" vs a 'real' bank. No 'real' bank would be permitted to make any such stipulations regarding its customer accounts. This is not about being "triggered". It is about wanting Zazzle to simply provide a standard 100% safe financial mechanism for transferring earnings, aka wages. 'Real' banks cannot close a customers bank account unless the law of the land permits them to do so, for quite obvious reasons. Paypal are not a 'real' bank and are therefore seemingly able to discriminate against anyone who wishes to use their services. If my 'high street' bank suddenly closed my account, and told me that it had done so because of something I had posted on social media, I would wipe the floor with them in a court, get my story on the front page of every UK newspaper (I live in England), and would probably see that bank collapse because of the number of its customers that would immediately transfer their money to another bank. Thankfully, I know that my bank would never even dream of doing such a thing.

Please understand, above all, this is not a political issue, although of course, the divisions in society in regards to people's belief, or opposition to, freedom of speech are bound to see daylight within this discussion.

I simply want my earnings to be in 100% safe hands at all times, and a 'real' bank offers pretty much the same protections to me that it would have 100 years ago. That is simply not the case with Paypal. It is a website; it is a politically motivated company; it is an online business, BUT it is NOT a bank. Only a 'real' bank can't mess with your money unless directed to do so by judicial authority or the police.

The law sees my use of Paypal as my choice, and therefore I take the risks associated with not using a 'real' bank. However, it is not my choice. It is Zazzle's choice. I would ditch Paypal in a heartbeat if I could, but Zazzle forces me to use that company. This is the real issue here.

Given that the Ideas & Suggestions forum is designed to act as a suggestion box, I'm going to close this conversation to replies. I think that everyone has had their opportunity to speak their mind on the topic, and it's likely that we are not all going to come to an agreement this time around.
