Did Zazzle turn off watermarks?

I noticed that my designs no longer have watermarks and I can not find where to turn them back on.   Anyone else seeing this?  Not sure if it is an issue or they no longer have them.

I have noticed over the past few days that my watermarks show sometimes and not other times. Right now, they are not showing at all.

I also do Postcrossing!

The watermarks on the individual product pages of my designs are also not showing.

I'm going to hazard a guess that that is a side effect of internal technical tinkering,
and hopefully we will be seeing a restoration of the watermarks in the near future.

I noticed that the watermarks were missing off mine as well. I really hope they turn them back on; the large sizes are too large and make theft too easy.

Colorflow, After reading your post, I went and checked my images, no watermarks. So I then went to check to see if the watermark checkbox had been unchecked somehow by tech. Well, there is now NO watermark checkbox under any of the tabs. I checked each section 3 times, could not believe it is gone, with NO NOTIFICATION from Z.(Unless of course it is hidden.)
THANK YOU COLORFLOW for the headsup. I was "trusting" that the watermarks would remain to somewhat protect our images. Extremely disappointed,
Zazzle Admin give us an answer, not just "we are checking on it and will get back to you when we have an answer." that seems to be the standard reply. (I said that because I have been waiting over a month now for an answer about whether removing empty shops would change the rank of our public shops)  This watermark issue concerns our livelihood that is now openly vulnerable to exploitation.

Zazzle admin please answer these questions for us—

1. Did  zazzle remove the ability to turn watermarks on and off?

2. If the the watermark on/off checkbox ability was removed, why. was it removed without notifying us?

3. If  the checkbox is gone, is it gone in all shops, or just for some of us?

Update to my above post—I just read a post about watermarks dated 7/11/22 in “ask a question” section about locating the setting. The setting is still there, just not easy to find.  I checked my shops settings—they are set as watermarked, but they are not showing watermarks.

Which still leaves the question unanswered as to why my images are not watermarked, even tho the setting is activated.

Same here. I have the setting checked (and yes it is very hard to find)  but no watermarks.

Also noticed the same thing several days ago. The watermark used to show up after clicking the main image in the product view page that opens in the pop-up window along with the thumbnail images to the left depending on the type of product.

For a little while, my mugs product pages showed a watermark for only one of the view images after popping up the window, but some of those have now disappeared and it may be due to web browser caching.

From what I can tell, the watermarking size threshold may have been increased to a larger image size now. After some experimentation, the watermark seems to show when the image displayed and one or more of the dimensions is over 1080 pixels to correspond with the 1080p screen format.

The pop-up window page in my web browser displays a 1024x1024 pixel image and the watermark is missing. On my iPad, the watermark used to show in the pop-up window in some cases but now it too is disappearing after a while. Unfortunately, I am unable to download the image from the iPad, so I don't know its actual dimensions.

Watermarks are missing on all of my images also! 😮 My box is still checked to include watermarks (under advanced settings) and says the watermarks will appear when enlarged, but guess what... the watermarks are no longer showing up when you click to enlarge the image. Also, Zazzle has increased the size of the smaller images so much that it's easy for anyone to use that image by just shooting a screen shot. But then they wouldn't need to since the enlarged image has no watermarks. 😡 Did they do away with watermarks completely or is this another glitch??? Has anyone from Zazzle responded to this yet?

Zazzle- do you look at these forums? I spend 1/2 my life filing copyright infringement letters as it is with the ability to take out watermarks in Photoshop. You have now made it easier for theft! Please advise WHY you have done this and how we can get our watermarks back.

Zazzle really does not care about protecting our images. Their policy before they removed all our watermarks...

Thanks for this info. The bottom line is it benefits Zazzle more than it does us to remove the watermarks. A relative told me some time ago that for their child's birthday party, they simply keyed their info on Zazzle as though they were going to make a purchase, and then did a screen shot and sent the invites via text! My relative is not the only one doing this I'm sure! I think it's insane that Zazzle is doing this. They are actually LOSING money this way. We have no choice in this and the watermark mysteriously disappearing is just another reminder that we are just the "workers" we have no stake in the company...smh.

Zazzle, it has been several weeks now and there has been no comment from your end. I contacted tech support directly and got a "stock" response that they would look into it, "could I send links?". Well it is every product, from every designer, including Disney. When will you admit there was a change and tell us why?

I will have to deactivate my products if Zazzle does not put the watermarks back on. And that part about getting more sales without watermark is rubbish. My sales have never got affected by watermarks whether here on Zazzle or elsewhere. Watermarks is essential for protection. Lots of people can now EASILY screenshot and use. It's really stupid to not have watermarks, and a breach of faith to remove watermarks without even informing artists.

I have sent two emails to Zazzle about this already and after the first they said they were "forwarding it to the team" and after the second they did not even bother to reply.
I think this is a serious problem, especially since all the images are now at printable size (notably the business cards and invitations is a problem)

I am new to the site and came across your thread as I am interested in the watermark issue. I quickly noticed that the button to turn them on was not working and decided that the problem was with me first or because of the slow updating of the site. I would like to ask if there is a solution to the issue at the moment?
