I just "DONT GET IT". Why is such a seemingly simple task so impossible to accomplish. I literally spent the last 3 days and countless hours trying to figure this out and got totally burned out and disgusted with the whole thing. I don't even have very many items in my store yet. I came very close to just closing my store and forgetting about it. Nothing seems to work. I'm not new on computers. I have 20 years experience and even build my own websites but yet I can't figure out this crazy puzzle. Is there something I'm not comprehending for some strange reason?
I did the following countless times. I would add a few categories, then moved all my items to these categories using the Actions Menu and then the Set Item Category. After all this, I can't find the items under any categories but only under All Products. So then I get frustrated and try to delete the categories I added and they won't delete until I move all my items back to All Products. This went on for three days and I quit. I'm leaving everything under all products and if I don't sell anything after some time, I will give it up. They need to completely overhaul this whole thing about categories and organizing your store and making it simple to work with.
I know lots of people out there love Zazzle and think highly of them but I'll say this anyway. When a company gets too big, there is always adverse effects that trickle down to everyone involved. "We are needles in a Zazzle haystack".

It is frustating when new categories don't suddenly appear or any changes you make to your store products don't happen immediately but that is the way it is.
We have to wait for Zazzle's servers to catch up and make the changes which could take a fair few days if there's a backlog
Create new categories as you need, add a category thumbnail and put products in them and wait. It could take 4-5 days if the system is behind before we see any changes in the front or back end.
Make sure you have an image in your category thumbnail to allow them to be seen on the front page when they do finally appear
(edit - add an image click done)
Patience is key when you are a zazzler.
