Background Color Issue

I am having a few products where I add a background color and it fills in the white aspects of my image with that color as well. This Santa hat shows up with a white brim on all of my products from last year, but now when I transfer to a new product it takes on the color of the background. This hat brim should be white, not green.

@epicdesigns

Check that your image hasn't got a checkmark next to 'all white from image'

It should be on 'never'

Thank you for the suggestion. I've never seen this before and cannot find it in the editing tool. Where are you seeing this option?

Oh! I see it when I click on that layer. Thank you!

@Sara_H beat me to it! 😀

The other place you can get this behavior is on T-shirts with the classic print process (no underlayment.) The inside of the red stars in this design are white, but the print process makes white transparent so if you choose a color other than white for the t-shirt, the center of those stars is not white, it's whatever color the t-shirt is. Republican Democratic Donner Party Funny Political T-Shirt | Zazzle

I just want to point out that it's not called "Democratic Party" it's called "Democrat Party."

Actually no, it is called the Democratic Party. "Democrat Party" is something that Republican talking heads came up with a few years back - not sure if they intend it as an insult or what. The 'Democratic' or 'Democrat' Party? - FactCheck.org 😉
