Banner image not showing

Trying to create a new store and I've uploaded a banner image but it's not showing up on the storefront.

I can see the image in the store settings and for some reason, it has the Zazzle watermark all over it but when I hit Save it doesn't show up.

There are two different issues.  I think the fuzzy banners are fixed for everyone. The other issue is a caching issue. One of the mods said in another thread that the engineers are aware and working to fix that. This is the weekend, so we can't expect anything more on it until Monday, I am guessing. 

I also do Postcrossing!

This was happening to several people but many have had the issue corrected.  I have not.  So, it is still an ongoing issue for some of us.  Not sure why some can be fixed and others not.  Not sure how many others are still experiencing the problem.  There has been no new responses (until yours tonight, rdanforth35) to the threads dealing with it , so I have been wondering if no one else (other than myself) remained who was still having this issue

Hello, I have the same issue.  I'm uploading a banner for my new shop and it's also "acting" like it's loading, but it just shows the standard "Zazzle" page, and not mine.  When I go and look to tweak the image, it appears like I selected the image, but it doesn't actually show up on real page.

I'm having the same issue with my kitchen store banner.  It shows as changed in the settings but some weird banner (not even my artwork) showed up and it has nothing to do with food or kitchen decor, lol..  

That describes what I have been experiencing.  Strangely enough, my second store has finally changed to the image I have been trying to use with no success but my main store still is not allowing any changes even though in my settings (as you noted above,PaulaCreates).  it showed that it was changed.  I got excited to read that some found clearing the cache solved the problem, so tried that with no success.  Guess mine is a different problem.  Just strange that the one store finally changed but not both.  Tis a mystery!

I changed my banner yesterday. It shows up just fine on my iPad. On my desktop, it does not show as having been changed. I probably need to clean my desktop cache or something.

I just cleared my cache and now it's working... go figure.

Thanks for the suggestions and I'm glad I wasn't the only one seeing issues with this.

where did you clear your cache? on your computer or on Zazzle?

Just tried it and it worked...simply press Shift+Ctrl+R on your keyboard.

I've been following this issue to see if it's resolved for everyone. It's not. My banner shows in my settings, but the banner itself won't update. I hesitate to open a new issue since this issue is known. Is there an update on when this will be resolved? I even deleted the old banner images from my gallery, so clearly it stores the images somewhere else, which is odd.

@Bel_Je_Designs  I found something odd. Banner would not update on my desktop, but on iPad, it was perfect. So I cleared my cache on the desktop and now I can see what everyone else sees. Maybe this will work for you, I hope so!

I have already posted several times about this issue (mine still will not move, change or position at all).  I have also sent 2 or 3 emails to Zazzle help.  I mostly get pat answers about they are working on it.  Since it went quiet here in the original postings, I wanted to make sure zazzle realized that not everyone's banner issue has been resolved, but was hesitant to keep harping about it.  Also, I did the emptying the cache to no avail.  Interestingly, at some point, Zazzle put a generic banner up and later a couple of banners I was playing around with did get placed but now THOSE are frozen in place.  No matter what I do, no change --even though in my settings it shows the banner I wish to have,  and I hit submit and get the message in my settings that the change has occurred --but it has not.  What puzzles me is that obviously, sometimes zazzle has been able to make the banner change but each time the new ones are then "frozen" in place and the cycle starts all over again.

What should be showing? I see a beautiful panorama of fall leaves. Is that not the one you want showing?

Thank you Windy.  I have no problem with the image.  It is the fact that no matter what image is there, it cannot be moved, changed or positioned differently.   But, at Scotts encouragement,  I am moving on from the banner thing now.  Do appreciate your helpful and encouraging input always.

My suggestion is to set the banner and leave it be. It sounds like you've been constantly adjusting it, perhaps thinking that that might fix it. I second what Windy says - your banner looks great right now. I've added a screenshot of it below. If you're happy with what you see in the screenshot then this probably isn't worth worrying so much about.

We will have this fixed as soon as we can, but given that it only impacts the Creator when they try to view their own banner (after recent changes) it's possible that the respective engineer(s) are opting to finish up some other work first.

Scott, that is not the banner I see on my desktop.  The one that IS showing is acceptable except back when I made it originally I added my zazzle store url which is a little different now (no more * and / ) .  It (the url) also is a bit large (not how I had it --too big for my taste.  My other store banner is acceptable as far as the image is concerned.  The issue was that if and when I wish to change it, it seems that I will not be able to. Also, I am curious why and how others having the same problem seem to have the problem resolved.  However, I am going to take your advice and forget about it for now.   I think when issues arise, we designers want to feel like we have been heard.  So thank you for your response.  I do appreciate it.

Yes, I hope this issue will be resolved soon, I have changed my store banner in a couple of stores, and when I look in "Settings" the image has changed, but the old one is still showing up as before, more patience needed!

A quick solution for me was to use CTRL + F5 and presto it was fixed.

For me the banner is displaying correctly in Chrome but Safari still showing the old one.

Tried to check it on Microsoft Edge and it shows the new one! Its a browser issue

I'm having the exact same issue, the banner won't load even though it's correct and loaded in the template. Won't show on the store front even though it says changes saved,

I am amending my previous answer as it isn't always working. This is what I am currently doing and though it's frustrating, I am managing to get my banners to show.

  • Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button.
  • Or Hold down Ctrl and press F5.
  • If those don't work, I'm going to my settings tab in Firefox and going to "Privacy and Security" and then to "Cookies and Site Data". Then "Manage Data". Then I'm removing the cookies that say Zazzle and anything that might be related (ie. used in the last 5-15 minutes that don't seem important or known to me).

So far a combination of these is working for me on Firefox.

I hope this might help you to get your banners updated too. 😊

I'm totally new to zazzle and I was about to give up on selling my art on here if I can't even get a banner up after making the correct sizes over and over. I see that for some reason there is a delay from zazzle showing your most current changes to your store but if you do a new incognito search and search your store you can see the most current updates. I was able to see my image banner this way. 

Your trick (CTRL + Reload) worked for me. Thank you Angel!

Am having the same issue; went to change the banners on my two stores and although it shows the updated images in shop settings, the banners are not updated. This is the same on my desktop and Android.

I am a new seller, trying to set up shop and am having same issue. I can see banner in settings but it won't upload to shop page. Hopefully this will be an easy fix.

I'm also having this issue. I tried to change the banner on my store and it shows for a flash but then reverts to the old banner. The new banner does show in shop settings but doesn't show on my store front. Doesn't matter if I'm logged in or not, it still doesn't show the correct banner. I also tried checking it while not logged in on Safari but no luck. (I'd been using Firefox before.)

UPDATE: Cleared caches/history on both browsers and then the new banner appeared. Not sure how Safari had a cached version of the old banner since I rarely use it and it's supposed to clear all that when I close the program, but clearing it again worked.

Hello, I am also having a problem with updating the banner. It doesn't show the newly installed image, it takes me back to the old version. Store needs to be refreshed,... I hope you solve this soon,...Thanks.

Hello! Newb here, having the same issue with the banner. Extremely frustrating. Also, why is Zazzle putting its logo on banners I'm creating in Canva? Why is this an automatic feature? What can be done about this issue as well as the banner issue? Is there a resolution yet? Thanks!
