Foam Core boards "8 tables" tag converts to posters category vs finding other boards with 8 tables

For wedding seating charts or seating plans, it seems like the number of tables would be a useful tag.

However, I have noticed that on the foam core signs, tags with "n tables" convert to the category "Posters" instead of showing other foam core boards with the same tag

Test product I created to demonstrate

click on 8 Tables. I expect to see other foam core boards with the same tag but instead it takes me to an unfiltered view of the Posters category

Hmmm... I'm thinking maybe this has something to do with the fact that Zazzle shows different customers different products in the "other designs you might like" section. When I click on your sample product these are the products that displayed are all foam core board seating charts with 8 tables:

Thanks @Cat

But those are at least foam core boards. If you scroll down and click on the tag "8 tables" it doesn't show foam core boards. It shows the Posters category with no filter related to seating plans or number of tables. I don't think this is the typical or intended behavior. It isn't respecting the department (seating Charts) or the product (foam core boards)

Now I just added another tag "yellow" for comparison.

if i click on the tag under Foam Boards, it takes me to Yellow posters. This is at least "filtering" but is still the wrong product and department.

The "8 tables" behaves differently. It is completely ignored as a filter from a tag click.

note: to further isolate the tag effect vs text effect, I just removed "8 Tables" from the product title.

Oh... you're referring to the tag links at the very bottom of the page. I see what you mean. I'm not entirely sure how those links are supposed to work, but it doesn't look like they generally take you to similar products with that tag. When I try it on various products it just takes me to a very basic screen. For example, if I click on any of the tags for this bridesmaid shot glass that I just made (Burgundy Blush Roses Elegant Bridesmaid Wedding Shot Glass | Zazzle) it takes me to a generic screen for wedding gifts (Wedding Gifts & Keepsakes | Zazzle).

Honestly, I've never really looked at those tag links or worried much about it because I think the chances of someone scrolling all the way down to where they are and actually clicking on one is extremely remote.

I agree that few customers would scroll way down, but I always like to check my tags after I've added them.

Previously, clicking on the tag would show a combination of the product and a filter based on the tag. And I think this is what a customer would expect (if they did scroll way down and click ) based on the way other retail websites work for "related searches"

I thought this issue was limited to the foam boards, but it seems like it is broader.

Interesting. Well, maybe somebody who knows more will pipe in because I'm (obviously) clueless! 😁
