How can all color variations be correctly grouped under one product design?

I noticed that every time I create a design with several color variations and then request the product to be grouped, the grouping result is always incorrect.

For instance, if there is 1 design with 10 colors, only 8 colors are grouped together, while the remaining 2 colors are grouped separately. Ideally, all 10 colors should be grouped under the same design.

Is there a maximum number of colors that can be used in a single design?

Another example: If there are 10 color variations, and the product title, description, and tags are identical, the grouping still results in 2 separate groups, as in the example above.

Could you explain how to make a single design with multiple color variations grouped as one unit?

Has anyone experienced similar issues when grouping product color variations as I have? What was the solution to this problem?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
