How do we know our royalty change requests are officially pending?

When I change royalties before the 20th, how do I know my change request went through? Sometimes in the Royalty Information section of Edit Details it shows the newly requested rate at the top and the current (before the 20th) rate in the main section. But sometimes that doesn't appear. So I don't know if my request went through or not. And sure enough, the 20th comes and goes and my request hasn't gone through/the new rate hasn't turned over yet.

I've noticed the same thing for the last few months. I've tried changing them multiple times to try to get the pending change to appear and sometimes it will, but most of the time it doesn't. As you said, the ones that don't show the pending change ultimately don't end up changing. It's very difficult to keep track of, so I don't bother anymore. I just try multiple times and then I just give up. With so much to do now, keeping track of one more thing that needs to be re-done is more than I have time for.

@Padraig or anyone at Zazzle: It's been over a year, and this is still an issue. We're told we can change our royalties, but the reality is that most of the time you can't change them. When you enter a royalty change the system provides the green pop-up stating the change was successful, but it doesn't show the pending requested change. When it doesn't show the pending requested change, the royalty doesn't get changed during the monthly royalty update on the 20th of the month. Since this issue was never acknowledged I'm not even sure this is being looked into. Could we please get an update on this? Thanks in advance.

I have been trying to get an answer to this question. I've tagged mods and sent an email to support. I still haven't received an answer.

Here is an example regarding mugs: I select all on 204 page one, edit details, change royalty, and get the success notification. Check several mugs on the page: All unsold mugs show that the royalty change will take effect on the 20th, sold mugs do not show that the royalty has been edited. Go to page 2 and repeat, no mugs show that the royalty has been edited. Go back to page 1 and no mugs show that the royalty has been edited.

Bath towels, pillows, clocks, notebooks/journals, and tote bags are also not changing. Sold binders are not changing. There are more.

and you are supposed to be able to change the royalty within the first 24 hr after making a new products and it don't work anymore as well.

If your product has been published over 24 hours ago, we’ll process your royalty change starting on the 20th of every month. but if before 24 hr do it now  is what that means

I feel this is still not fixed so enjoy the old ones if not fixed again as I just tested it .IF fixed you would see the old and new rates and if fixed you can change it fast if you made a error when you created the new product you have 24 hour to change it. but all this don't work like I have said a million time if zazzle .BATA tested all there update before killing use it would be nice all the gaming companies do it.so why can not zazzle.

I'm trying to remain professional about this but what is going on?! Tomorrow is the cutoff for our royalty changes to take effect for the next month. Why is there no response regarding our business agreegement (royalty changes) between us as store owners and Zazzle?! Zazzle moderators, please at least acknowledge that you're aware, and care about this extremely important technical issue.

I've also been experiencing this. Not only did my royalty changes not go through today that I made several days ago, but I've tried for the past half hour to make changes to several different products' royalty rates, as well as tried bulk editing, and nothing happens. I get the green sign saying "success!" but it doesn't change. Really annoying.

not me  or maybe a few months as this has been going on for a long time  i told them about this months ago

Great... Well I emailed support directly about it. We'll see what happens I guess.

not yet. And, the ones that showed as pending - they are not in effect, still show as pending.

Hi all, we announced back in November there has been a pause with processing royalty requests. These were due to start yesterday but as you can imagine, we have quite a lot to get through since October 31st.  This might take a few days due to the volume and we thank you for your patience while we resume this process.

The problem isn't that they haven't changed over yet, the issues is many products do not indicate that they are pending a change.

That is only for the 20th monthly change and not for the with in making new product change you have 24 hours to set it as many time as you want . It has been that way for 12 years that I have seen.. 24 HOUR HAS AND NEVER GOT AFECTED BUY THE ROYLETY CHANGE THING THEY HAVE RUN 24/7 /365 DAYS FOR THE TIME ZAZZLE STARTED sorry about capsCapture.JPG

this was not working  a few weeks before your so call turn off  so if is was broken before the holiday it is still broken yes. And as for making new product change royalty you have 24 hours to set it as many time as you want . During the holidays, they disabled the ability to change the royalty rates, and it appears this feature has not been re-enabled yet. I've been attempting to modify the royalty rates since the start of the new year, but the changes are still not being applied.

Hi all, 

The system is still working though the back log. Also, I tested out the 24 royalty change feature and it seems to have worked for me. What I did ( so you all know and can tell me your method/ examples). Posted my product (yesterday). 2 hours later I request a royalty change from the product page within "edit details". And this took affect today.  
I can see that requests from 1/25 have taken affect on some accounts I checked above. If you think your request (maybe placed earlier than this) have not yet taken affect, please let me know and I can check them out. 😊

Also, @kills I'm not sure if you're aware of your tone in your replies, but it feels somewhat aggressive and is not appreciated. My presence here is not constant and I'm simply looking to help, which is hopefully evident by my involvement in this thread. While I would love to be able to read through every thread for more color on any given topic, it's just not possible. So while I appreciate anyone's frustration when something doesn't work as expected, and our replies might not be what you expect, we sometimes will ask questions. I'm happy to go over any examples to get to the bottom of XYZ. Thanks so much.

Thanks, but I think the OP is referring to the products that when you edit do not have a pending royalty change waiting. For example if I try to bulk change the percent on iphone case, stickers or ornaments and then I look to see if my change is pending, the new percentage isn't showing as pending. Same goes for changing any one product, the new percent does not show as pending.

I hope that makes sense.

Yes, I've found this with watches. The new percentage doesn't show as pending, so the new percentage did not take effect yet. I tried to cnage pet bowls today, knowing it will take effect next month, but the new percentage isn't showing as pending.

Thanks for your explanation Masterpiece. So when editing a product design feature (like with the product replace feature) I know it shows a grayed out pending view. But I don't think it ever did for just a royalty change request, did it?

Not the greying out feature.

If I bulk edit a percentage change, it shows in the royalty information section. So here my current rate is 18.6 and the rate I'm changing to is 14.9. So I know that this product is edited to change on the 20th. Many products do not show the new pending percentage rate.

I sold some file folders yesterday. They sold at the old rate, not my new royalty rate. I edited the royalty rate again (because it didn't indicate it as shown above) - Now the royalty rate has been updated, after the sale. How is that possible?

I'm sorry you feel this some what aggressive but I just call it the way it is. some of the monitor's have not been here for year and don't know the way things have worked over the years and as for the 24 royalty change feature it used to always change within a few seconds. did Zazzle change that ?I hope asking this is not to upsetting I am not trying to do that but Zazzle has so many broken things now how do you thing the designers feel .and just for you I promise never to post another problem again if I come across one I will just let it sit .

Do you have a recent example of the 24 hours royalty change not working @kills ? It could be product specific so the product i test might not be getting the same result, but I will be happy to test that out.  As for the few seconds change, I will check that out.
