New Collections Are Setting To Private

My new collection automatically set to private.  When I try to share it, it tells me this with a pop up window and asks if I want to make it public.  When I click yes, it shows public but as soon as I try to share it or refresh the page it goes back to private.  Worse, I can't even find a place to change the setting to public or private.  I've looked everywhere.  ???

try again, only this time when the pop up shows its little self, cllick yes. Then log out, clear your cache, close your browser, then open your browser, log in, go back to where you were, your collection hopefully will stay public. Let us know if it works.

I am having the same problem. I can't even find where to make it public within the collection editing option.

The same thing was happening to me - so after trying to share it, and clicking yes when the pop up window asked if I wanted to make it public several times, I decided to leave it.
The next day I checked and the collection was public.
So I think what's happening is that new collections show automatically as private for a few hours, then the issue resolves / indexing catches up.

Hey Scott - went into the store today, and couldn't find them either! Must have been a glytch maybe? They were private a couple days ago...

same here: new layout no chanches to select private/public to any -hidden- collection.

I have it again... again today I created a collection and again it was simply set to "private" even though I didn't do it.

And again....It's getting really annoying when you keep having newly created collections that are simply set to private... and it wasn't me. Today again... it's really frustrating

I see the Collection was created very recently (today). The collection will need to be indexed before it can be visible to the public. Once the collection is indexed it may start to appear as Public. Let's check back on this tomorrow.

I would agree that it's a little confusing to show newly created Collections as Private. I'll pass this along to the team.

Oh yeah...that would be really nice if you told the team. . Then we'll see if the collection is indexed tomorrow. Thank you so much  Scott

hate to say it, but this just happened to me -- and I've never seen that before and it is towards the end of August.  I will wait until it indexes -- but it is confusing and unexpected without more of an explanation.

It revents to private wthin minutes of making it public.
Do you have any advice?

My advice is to be patient and allow 24 hours for the newly created collection to be indexed.

I created a new collection which is somehow showing as private without my having done anything to select this. 

cannot figure out how to change the setting to public

My new collection was set to private again... but it wasn't me. It would be nice if this wasn't always done...that always confuses me, especially because I can't set it to public.....I haven't found anything how to do it anyway

I am having the same problem.  Very frustrating because my link is out there, on Pinterest etc but when you click on it, and it opens in zazzle, there’s a message for potential customers that says there is nothing in the collection 😡

I think this is just because of a delay in indexing. Wait for a day or two, then check it again.
