Photo sculptures product? Is this display of products typical?

I stumbled across the weirdest thing this morning.  First off, I've never run into photo sculptures before, so this is my first encounter with this product.  But once I did find photo sculptures, things don't appear to be working right.

Here's what I did.

Starting at zazzle.com on a desktop in firefox.  Searched for cut out valentine cards.

Got here https://www.zazzle.com/s/cut+out+valentine+card

Clicked on this one https://www.zazzle.com/valentines_stand_up_doll_art_valentines_day_cutout-153404443924628758

There is just something weird going on with the photos on that page.  Like, except the initial main product photo, of the valentine, none of the product photos have anything to do with the product.  The "style" views have thumbnail images of chubby hummel-type kids, with no representation of the actual product being sold---also, they do nothing when clicked.

I started to feel like I was in the twilight zone.  Checking a bunch of other listings, they have the same thing going on.  Chubby hummel-like kids.

I tried to make a product myself, to see what happened there.  But adding an image to the design tool just---created a flat bitmap of my image.  It doesn't interact with any product prototype.

Is this all normal?  :I  'Cuz it felt REAL weird to me.

Hi Argyleimp, to create one, click on blank products link (listed in right side column of forum), search box enter photo sculpture, then you will find three blank product choices—-

here is the link to the cheapest one—-

https://www.zazzle.com/pd/spp/pt-zazzle_photosculpture?size=2x3&style=stand_ps

To do a general search on Zazzle using the search bar at the top of any page
—-here is what I found—-
https://www.zazzle.com/s/photo+sculpture

It likely depends on what search words you enter as to what results you find.

Hi!  Thanks for your reply.  But based on your reply, I'm not sure that I accurately communicated what I am seeing.  I have included a screenshot here to make it easier to see what I'm am talking about. StylesNotReflectingActualProduct.jpg

Surely I should be seeing pictures of the actual product, and not these children?  It doesn't matter which product I view, all are displaying photos of these children.  Also, clicking the thumbnail photos does nothing.  I find this weird.  I'm wondering if it's supposed to do this, or if something is off.

Attempting to make a product itself seems nonfunctional.  Here is what is happening.

AttemptToCreatePhotoSculpture.jpg

This behavior is inconsistent with any experience I have ever had designing products on zazzle.  I would expect a mockup to be generated, with "style" thumbnails reflecting my product.

So, I'm wondering, is this general weirdness?  Or is it just happening to me?  Or is it supposed to do this?

To me, this seems weirdly not right.  🙂

I just went and checked the link https://www.zazzle.com/valentines_stand_up_doll_art_valentines_day_cutout-153404443924628758
And you are right, the image doesn’t change as it should when you change the style below. But that could further mean that the other style options aren’t available, if so they should be crossed out or no drop down for them. Could be frustrating for the customer.

Ah, now I see,you used the keywords “cut out valentine card”
Instead use “photo sculpture valentine” to get the photo sculpture (cut out)
https://www.zazzle.com/s/photo+sculpture+valentine

When you added the word “card” it took you to cards, when you were really wanting photo sculptures? Make sense?

This!

Because the problem appears both in the creation of products, as well as in the display of existing products, I'm wondering if there are some technical issues going on in the background with the website programming that is causing mockups to not work correctly.

@Scott

Nothing has changed about this situation.  Can you help me understand what is going on?

Hey @Argyleimp ,

We do not use our real-view technology for our Artisan sold products as they are made by third party manufacturers that don't utilize this technology due to the way they were onboarded. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and we thank you for your feedback.
