Products inside collections have suddenly changed order

This morning before I signed in, I noticed the first cover image for all my collections was wrong. The products are also randomly positioned inside each collection.

When I'm signed in, the list on the Collections page (backend) shows the correct product thumbnail. But when I open the collection, they're still randomly positioned.

I don't yet have 'primary' images in my collection 'media', as I'm still working on my individual cover images, but I don't know if that makes a difference to why this has happened.

I don't know if I should be re-ordering them now, or wait to see if it reverts back.

I've just noticed that the three new collections I created most recently look like they're OK.

Same here. I've noticed it since last night. It's also happening on collections I haven't even touched for awhile. When I try changing them to the order I want, they don't stick. (I also commented the same thing in the "new collections" thread.) Again, help!

Yes, I was unsure if I should try re-ordering them now, in the hope it was just a temporary glitch! It would be good if we could get some reassurance that it will revert back to its original position.

Wow! I just posted the last comment, and as if by magic, my collections appear to have changed back to the correct order 😁

Same here. Why? It's terrible.

I've checked a few collections, everything seems to be fine again. Thanks.

Yes, all of mine are also back to the way they should be! I sincerely hope it stays that way!
