Products marked with Direct-Only are visible to all

Several days ago I marked all my items as "Direct-Only" but after checking on three different computers today, all items are still visible to the public.

Please advise if I need to do anything else to make them only visible with a direct link.

Hi @SStalter,

Are you still experiencing an issue here? I don't believe there is an issue with how these features are working. It might just take a couple of days for these changes to index on the site. However, if you're still experiencing issues then, please don't hesitate to let us know 🙂

If you put them in a collection then they become visible to everyone - at least through that collection. Totally counter-intuitive, I know, but when you add it to a collection, you're essentially publishing the link which makes it visible.

That is good to know! Not that I have ever designated anything direct.

You can add your direct only links to a separate collection and make that collection private. Then only the person you send the link to will see it.

Thank you all! I deleted all my collections but my products still show in store. Maybe it takes time to digest that?

Wait... I didn't mean that if it's in a collection it would show up in the general marketplace or in your store products list, but it will show up in the public view of the collection that you put it in.

ok...so I don't have ANY collections now. Just products. None are in any collection because I don't have any collections. All products are marked as "Direct-Only" with the little grey "down" arrow showing.  So all products are still showing in my public store. Why?

Thank you Pádraig....the issue for me did resolve itself...it took about 4 days for it to index.😁

Unfortunately it's gone back to showing all products in my store. Even though none are marked as visible. I have a few marked as "direct -only" and the rest as hidden. Yet they are visible in my public store. Too bad.
