Recent designs have disappeared from store backend

All of the designs that I have been creating over the last few days have completely disappeared from my store. I shared the designs on Pinterest after I created them, and when I click the link on Pinterest it takes me to the product page on Zazzle. So the designs must still be on the Zazzle marketplace, but I cannot see them in the backend of my store. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I have (am) and they are all showing up. The missing products from the past 3 days are still missing, but the new ones are showing up.

I'm continuing to post new items, but waiting to do the cover photos.

I created new products after posting in this thread yesterday and they are still in my backend. But the missing products have not returned.

I have created new products and those are still showing but the products from the 4th and 5th still do not.  Is someone from Zazzle monitoring this section?

I have created new listings since and they show up normally but the vanished ones are gone from my “shop inventory” but are still life in the marketplace. I’m hoping they will come back into my shop inventory. I’m a new seller too so I thought first I will just wait and see but now I checked out the board (for the first time). Feels kinda good not to be singled out. Should we contact Zazzle support? 🤔

You can still create new products, they haven't disappeared from the marketplace just in our end.

I have to wonder if this has something to do with the California flooding.

I also do Postcrossing!

Same here, all of my products from over the last few days have gone

zazzle website is broke, the moderator haven't replied to this post yet, it seems that they have power shortage, all communication from the zazzle customer service has been cut off, yikes....

I’m located in the Bay Area, we had three storms and tons of rain and many, many power outages. I also lost Internet twice (and just today again too).

Same for me. I'm missing at least 100 products. All the products from February are missing, but also older products are gone.

Same here. 😞

Same, but it just started happening to me this morning.

I'd urge patience on this matter. I think we've all been affected. But California has severe problems right now, and it may be that Zazzle employees might not even be able to get to work. Let's hang on a bit and wait to hear from them. Hoping they are all safe.

Yes I have the same issues, I hope its fixed soon.

I'm having the same issue as well.

I have the same issue. I'm not sure if the products are actually missing yet, but my products number went down by 500 products missing.

The black and white bird photograph that I added to my store yesterday is gone.

From my own past experience, I'd advise new creatives to start recording a copy of the posted for sale links that are given after the products are posted for sale...if they don't already do this.  Because this gives you a back-up record.  I store all of my current/future products as links on a simple Google spreadsheet [but any type you choose is fine].  A simple copy/paste method, plus I add date created, type of product and an idea of why I created it for my own resources.   Remember that Zazzle is an online website, and it would be my understanding that they would find the original time period of being offline and reset the website to that date.  And, if you had your back-ups recorded on your own database you could give them a copy of the link at least to try to find them if it does not get captured in the reset.  It's useful information to them.

I actually did that. Not with so many details of course but I do have the product links because I duplicated them onto my website for an additional way to bring traffic to my store which is just about three months old now. I still have tons to learn, smile.

I’m going to check out your site now. 🙂

I just found a workaround! It looks like the products are still there, they're just not showing up in our stores' backend. So if you can get to the product (like if you put it in a collection and can find it there, or if you promoted it on Pinterest or elsewhere) go in and make a change to the metadata. Then save your changes. For me, that made them appear in the back end again. The hard part was remembering what I had made - but since I usually post everything to Pinterest as soon as I finish making it, I think I got everything.

I'm guessing the flag or whatever it is that tells Zazzle to show the product in our stores somehow got corrupted or unset. But if you make a change and save it, the information is restored. Hope that helps somebody out there!

Thank you for sharing the workaround. I now have everything I thought I had lost back on the backend of my store.

I'm not sure how to change metadata....

Edit Details, change a word or two in the description or tags and then save.

Ah, It actually works by reselling them again, I don't have to change anything, but here is the problem, I can't delete the old one, because once zazzle fixed it, I might end up having duplicates? 😅 actually some of my product from february hasn't been indexed in the market yet. maybe I should just leave it alone at the moment and see what happens, if worst case, then I should resell them again. I don't have the save them only feature.

Yes you will end up with duplicates if you re-post it for sale. For me, making a small change to a tag or description and then saving it was enough to make it show up in the back end.

OH I get it! I just go to the edit menu and change! 😀👍

too bad there is a few that I did not happen to put in the collection or shared...

How long did it take for the missing products to show up, after you made the edits?

MOM

Seconds the most - it was pretty much immediately for me.

Not sure what you mean by "make a change to the metadata"--I am one of the technologically impaired.  Can you elebaorate?  TIA!

MOM

It might not work for you because I have tried that last night and the system would not let me do it. But I’ll try again tonight.

Unfortunately thats not possible with my hidden products which I wanted to work further on today. They disappeared and can't be reached through the marketplace.

@sachers Did you check in your saved designs? Of course, if you work from a saved design and then publish it again you'll be creating a duplicate product. But I suppose you can delete the original once Zazzle solves the problem. Or you could just wait - I'm sure they'll have it resolved soon.
