Reorder Collection doesn´t save

I am working on my collections and tried to put them in order a few times, yesterday and today, but the ´´reorder collection´´ function doesn´t save, and the collections after a while come back to where they were. Hopefully, it can be fixed soon, thank you!

Same here. I spent around 20 minutes or so changing the collections order, only to find out a couple of hours later that everything reverted back.

Hi Pádraig, thanks for getting Zazzle's technical team to take a look into it. I reordered my collections again yesterday, and I noticed that my collections under "My Profile" on public view are in the correct order, but the collections under "My Store" are not. It keeps showing my collections in an old order I had from last October. I've been having issues organizing my collections for several months. I thought perhaps these details might help the team pinpoint where the issue might be.


Let's hope it gets fixed very soon as it can affect our stores. In my case, it keeps showing some Christmas holiday collections on the first page, even when I have tried to organize them and send them to the bottom of my collections many times since January, but every time I reorganize my collections, the change does not get implemented at "My Store" public "Collections" section!

The ordering of collections in your store(s) is separate from the ordering of collections in your member profile. This is largely because not all of your collections may be visible in your store. I could go to your store's collection page, then make the ordering change there.

Thank you, Scott, for your reply, but that is exactly the way I have been reordering my collections all along. I go to the "My products" page on my store, select "collections", then select "reorder collections".  Once there, I can see that all my collections are displayed in the correct order that I want them, but unfortunately not on the "public" view, where the collections remained in the wrong order, in an order I selected many months ago. No matter how many times I repeat the process of trying to re-order them, the change does not stick to the public view.

I've just been trying to reorder store collections (108) and using the up and down arrows doesn't send them to the very end only to the end of the first 60 - so you have to view all to try and get it to the very end. And then when you view the store front - they're not at the very end - some where mid way. So frustrating and time consuming.

Please can we have grid view sort drag and drop for store back end collections pretty please

I believe we've received a similar request for a grid view, but voicing that feedback in a technical discussion is a good way for it to get lost.

We are aware of issues with moving collections that appear further down the list. This seems to only impact the Store's collection page (not your member collections). Hopefully we'll have this resolved very soon.

Thanks Scott. Working at member level for collections is just too overwhelming for me (have over 500 collections to check that migration worked ok)  so I'm braking it down by just working on individual store collections (I have multiple stores) 

I'll remember to voice my opinion in the correct channels in future 🙂

Yes, please can we have the option to view the collections as a grid (store back end) for re-arranging. It really helps to see how it looks visually and avoids long up/down scrolling and dragging!

But, I'm also unable to save my changes. I'm sure it was working a few days ago, but today I made one change and everything was ordered randomly.

Also, the 'View by' dropdown menu doesn't show everything in the correct order. 'Last Updated' and 'Date created' are a random order for me.

Help! I'm still having problems putting my collections in order at store level.
I have two stores and both are currently in a random order in the public storefront.
● When I look at them at Store level, 'my collections' - 'view public profile'- they are randomly ordered.
● But when I look at them in 'my account' - 'my collections' - 'view public profile '-  they are correct.

My collections are not appearing in the correct order in my stores. Is anyone else still experiencing this?

The collections are still not correctly ordered according to manual reordering both on the store homepage and collection page. While the manual reordering works in the backend, the public storefront still shows the order corresponding to the last setting I had done before the collection overhaul. Yes, I am reordering the collections on store level, and also the collections flagged as active are wrongly sorted. You can check it out on my petsdreamlands store - public and designer views on home and collection page are different. Thanks for checking and fixing. P.S. didn't manage the collections yet.

We're continuing to monitor things here. When you view things in your backend they'll be updated immediately, but the publicly-viewable page does not update instantly.

Hi Scott, sorry to keep bothering you, but I re-ordered my collections almost two weeks ago and they still appear in the wrong order on my store "collections" tab. If you can please check it out at the "One2inspire Designs" store, I would really appreciate it. There you will be able to see a blue and white "Christmas" collection at the end of the collection's first page. That collection should actually be on the very last collection's page. This is a very quick way for me to see that my collections re-order is not really working in my store's public view, you see I set my collections order to display all my Christmas collections at the very end of the LAST page!

Hi Scott, Thanks for your reply. I'm glad Zazzle is aware that this is not an indexing delay, but a deeper issue on collections at the "store" level.

As you can imagine, it's really frustrating to have in the month of August Christmas collections displayed on the first page. Let's hope it gets fixed soon 🙂

Hi Scott,
I'm talking about the display order of the collections, not of the products within the collections. I did a test reordering right after the changes weeks ago, didn't change anything afterward, and my store homepage and public collections page still show the display order I had before I made the test changes. Took a screenshot of the store collection backend, the homepage, and the collection page. See yourself. P.S. Collections used to update instantly before the changes, reordering included.

Scott, I'm not able to add products back in that were originally in the collection before the migration. When I hit "save" after selecting them again it says they are added but they never appear in the collections. Is this something they are still working on? Is there another Save that i need to select with the new format?

Re-ordering my collections is working for me today! It changes real-time, no delays. I'll check them again later today and hopefully they're still OK. Thank you 😊

Are you able to add products to a collection? I have several that seemed to have been kicked out with the migration and when I try to add them back it says "SAVE" but they never show up in the collection?

Yes, I can add new items to my collections, but mine are quite small. But I read recently in the Collection Types Update: FAQ's added! - Frequently Asked Questions

"What is the limit in the number of items in a collection?"
answer: 300 products

So I guess if you're trying to add over that limit, it will be restricted. Just a thought but I don't really know!

@SalvageScapes check at the very bottom of the collection after a page refresh - perhaps they're hiding there

Woohoo! I can confirm that it's working now! I had to re-order my collections once again, but this time the change was performed immediately and in the correct order at both store and profile levels.  Awesome job, thank you, Zazzle's technical team!

Unfortunately not working any more again.
The products are flying all over the place when I want to rearrange them.
