Serious Technical Issues with Collections!!!!!

There's a SERIOUS technical issue going on with collections! I have a Christmas collection that I changed to a Cross-sell Collection after making the Required Christmas card, and I cannot get "Preferred Collection" to stick to any of the products!!!!!! I manually went in and changed all the products to be the Preferred Collection, and as soon as I refreshed the page, they all went back to the yellow exclamation point!!!!!! I tried the workaround that somebody had posted in another thread, several times, and that didn't work either!

Apparently it's not just this collection- it's ALL the collections I try to change to Cross-sell after I make the ill-advised Required products!

I haven’t bothered much with collections. I’m waiting for Zazzle to resolve all of the technical issues with the new collection tool. There’s not much point for me to spend time trying to work with a confusing and unworkable tool, so I’m focusing on creating new products outside of collections while I wait for Zazzle programmers to turn the collection tool into a consistently workable and effective tool. In my opinion, this tool should have been in beta mode while it was under development and all the bugs were being worked out. As the tool stands now, it has created a lot of confusion and frustration for designers. I’m in a holding pattern to avoid the frustration, but that strategy seems to have impacted my sales. It’s currently a no-win situation.

The collections I'm working on are my Christmas collections, which are pretty urgent at this time of the year! I've been filling in a lot of gaps, and trying to get all my collections with matching products to be Cross-sell collections. I can't really wait for them to fix everything. And anyway, up until about a week or 2 ago, everything was working fine. I was able to change collections to Cross-sell, and they automatically set everything to be preferred.

I have exactly the same issue.  I cannot get "Preferred Collection" to stick to any of the products.

In another thread I gave Scott some examples, and he asked us to hold off on modifying the collections until they sort out what is going on. hope it doesn't take too long!
