Set Store Category Will Not Work

from the drop down in my product list, i cannot set the store category. chrome or firefox. i use a mac. i just get this and it never stops

this is still happening to me, not everytime, but the majority of the time i have to reload and go to edit product.

i use a mac if that could matter

I know this is an old topic, but this bug seems to have resurfaced for me. Unless it hasn't gone away? I wanted to fix a couple of items that I initially put in the wrong store categories, and I am unable to it just hangs up forever on that "loading" screen and the only way I'm able to stop it is to refresh the page. This is happening to me on Firefox currently.

This is happening to me too, and it's now the end of October. I'm trying to make my store look nice for the Holidays, and it's proving really difficult. ☹️ I'm using Chrome, on a PC.

UPDATE: I just installed and loaded Firefox, and the categories are working. 👍

This has happened to me a few more times. I have found if I just leave it and come back the next day it lets me set the category without any problems. I have no idea why.

I believe a possible workaround is to click into the product and to click the "Edit Details" button on the "Listing Tools" at the top.
We can also set the Store Category there.

I don't get this loading screen that gets stuck, but found a product that it is not appearing in the store category I set it in (even though a later created product does)

This is just now happening for me as I try to add new products. Very frustrating! I thought it might just be a "today" thing, but I see from previous posts that it is an ongoing problem.
