Store banner has now been cropped, blown up and pixellated

Hi team,
My store banner has been cropped and pixellated and a blue background added.
This occurs in both Firefox and Safari.
This morning it was fine.
I have done nothing to it that would cause this.

I checked my store banner. Same situation. Completely altered, now unrecognizable,  no doing of mine. 

I also do Postcrossing!

The same issue for me too, I'm so glad to find that Zazzle is working on it, the banners look just awful, blown up like that. I tried resizing some of mine but couldn't seem to save the changes, hopefully, all will return to normal soon.

I tried removing the banner for the time being, but that didn't work either. Do we know if it's being worked on or still in the queue?

Hi Scott, Just wanted to give you an update.  My store banner is "half fixed."  It's still wrong and showing bigger than it should be; but,  it's readable.  It's blurry, but it's readable.  The thing that alarms me is that since I do graphics, I just don't want this poor graphic look to mislead visitors into thinking this is the type of quality I put on products.  My graphics are sharp, crisp, colorful.   Anyway, thanks for the "semi-fix."

PS: My Zazzle rank is still lower  than it was also.

It is Aug. 9 and I just discovered the same thing has happened to my store banners.  All else on page looks normal.  Hope it can be fixed soon.

The 3 store I checked all have the same issue.  I wasn't going to post as it is a known issue now, but it has taken awhile to fix so I thought I'd add myself to the list of affected designers.

Same here. My store banner was the perfect size (for years) until today. Now it's been enlarged to the point where everything is bleeding off (on my computer, iPad and iPhone). I looked at other stores and their banners are way off too. What's going on over there at Zazzle??? A lot of changes happening that look like mistakes or glitches.

First, it's descriptions that have been translated to other languages and rewritten in poor English (still not resolved). Then it's the elimination of watermarks whether you want them or not (no explanation). Now this! What's the story?

I am so sorry to see that it is now two days down the road since this issue was first reported and still no correction.  My store banners look ridiculous.  Another zazzler mentioned trying to remove it but to no avail.  I also tried to remove it because I would rather have nothing than this monstrosity I have now.   But,  it seems that is not possible.   I am hoping this gets fixed soon.  Please!

Has anyone also noticed on a lot of the multi colored products with script font with tails that when you click on another color the text is all messed up? Anyone else notice this? Ive seen this on several products too and not just my own. Is it due to the font change of blooming elegance?

It is frustrating and disappointing that the store banner issue has still not been rectified.  I really wish zazzle would solve existing problems before giving us new ones (in some instances).  Please please fix the store banner problem.  Thank you.

My stores have also been affected by the banner issue. While I understand that it is frustrating, I really do appreciate the fact that Zazzle's staff is making SIGNIFICANT efforts to improve the look of the website and has improved our ability to design amazing products by offering real foil, new script fonts, etc.. I think Zazzle is going through some growing pains to keep up with the industry, and that is wonderful. I say we lighten up on them a little and show a little gratitude that they are constantly trying to improve the whole ecosystem. It must be CRAZY difficult to make these types of change with 2 bajillion Zazzle designers and 150 gazillion bajillion designs. And they ship around the world!! Pretty amazing if you ask me. I wouldn't trade my job as a Zazzle designer for anything. It has its quirks and we have to put up these glitches, but they always get worked out. Let's admit it that designing on Zazzle is the best darn job there is! Anyway, just my two cents. Have a lovely day.

Hi,

Greetings. Any idea if it is fixed. I tried to update the store banner with a new one, it doesn't accept. Tried new ones with different sizes too. It is not helping.

DesignerArtist, just checked.  My banners still not fixed and cannot remove what is there so that it would just be blank (an improvement over this).  Supposedly they are working on it,  but it has been several days already and no change.   I would be curious to know how many others are still having the same problem.  If anyone knows how we ourselves might correct this, please share.  Not being a tech person, sometimes things can be fixed on our own but I am not knowledgeable in that area, so I search the Forum for help by some of our very generous and talented fellow zazzlers.  Always appreciated!

UPDATE: I have one store.  My banner is still messed up.  My Zazzle Rank is still lower than normal.  I've been on Zazzle for over 10  years and seen a lot of changes, and glitches happen.  In some situations, it's taken Zazzle a month to get something fixed.  No need to stress because they are aware of it.  (If they weren't, then stress out.)  You have to just "let it ride" and in the meantime design products.   

PS: I noticed a while ago some great new fonts since I make a lot of cards.  Thanks!

New store owner / creator, here. I am seeing this banner issue as well (as of 8/13/2022). As a web developer, this seems like a css issue to me. Depending on how complex Zazzle's file structure is, I can imagine this may take some searching to figure out the culprit.

NOTE TO DEVELOPERS: Does your system permit the use of multiple banner files of various aspect ratios for responsive web design? I checked my Zazzle site on my mobile phone and I noticed the banner area aspect ratio changes significantly compared to a wide desktop screen. I use several different banners on my business website, all governed by css break points. I would expect the same setup, here.
