SVG Uploads

Do new SVG graphics no longer have color options? I can't seem to see anywhere the option to change colors on the last 2 SVG files I uploaded, the older ones still have color options. I can't figure out what the problem is.

I just uploaded a new svg with four colors and was able to change them. When I've had issues with SVGs previously, it was caused by raster elements in the file OR too many colors.

I just recalled another factor: if there is transparency in the svg, I have been unable to adjust colors in the uploaded image.

Hmmm... I have one that I can't get to let me change the colors on, and I saved it with only 3 colors, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I'm going to keep trying to save it in different ways and see if I can figure it out, and I'll post back if I find something conclusive but yes - I'm having the same problem!

OK - I got it to work! I still don't understand the problem, but I should say that I work in raster format and convert things to svg because I'm just not very skilled at using vector design apps. So, my process is to create the image in GIMP then I upload it to Photopea and convert it to an svg. Anyhow, in Photopea, when you vectorize a bitmap, one of the options is a choice between photo or cartoon. For some reason this image was defaulting to "photo." When I changed that to "cartoon" it fixed the problem. I have NO clue what any of that means, but I hope it helps somebody!

To test I just uploaded a circle with single and I got the color option, so I then I tried a circle with a border and I got 2 color options. Then I tried uploading grouped circles with different colors and the color options appeared also.

As I'm writing this I recall that I once had the same problem and it turned out that I had 2 very similar colors without me knowing and that brought the total colors of my SVG file over the 5 color limit. I'll check out my file to see if that is the issue

Yup, I had 2 colors that looked almost identical and one of them was hidden under some element, I needed the zazzle designer to find it. It's working now
